RTR.....Orrville just keeps producing great athletes that's the bottom line.

We do need to start producing some more offensive lineman...haha all these 4.5 40's but no 280 pounders....

I'm working on getting a big Junior, who played line his Frosh and Soph years but didn't go out this year, to come back out for his Senior year.

Yeah....his absence really puzzled me this year? He had a starting job there for the taking. He could be dominant on both sides of the ball if he started right now.

Hasn't been decided yet. There is a great swim coach who is the head coach at Mckinley High School..Sam Seiple. I have known Sam for several years now and he has always given our swim boys a little extra attention at the State Meet. He was an Olympic qualifier in the late 70's early 80's and an All American Sprint freestyle at Florida State for 3 years. He has been licking his chops to get his hands on Mason for a few years now to train him. Now that it is evident Mason is going to be a college football player and not a college swimmer Sam wants Mason to come over to their practices on the days he does not lift (therefore 3 days a week, the 3rd being Sat am) and train for just the 50 yard Sprint (which Mason is a 2 time State Medalist). So......not to be too windy....that may be a possibility. His sister is already driving there 6 days a week anyway, and instead of doing the 7-8,000 yards per practice she is doing, he would strictly work on the sprints and limit his yardage thereby limiting (or eliminating) his weight loss. Whew! that was a long answer...sorry! Anyway....I am hoping for that.

I think he only threw the ball 8 times when he was pulled.

Game control. He seemed untouchable and mistake proof. Actually the whole team did but he was the leader.

It was the most lopsided affair I had witnessed in a 2nd round play off game!

Yeah, but it is one thing to put a beat down on a team that ends up 0-10 or 1-9, but to see that in week 12! Wow...what a night that was to be a Red rider fan.

Now if Mason stayed in town and pushed those guys around on the b-ball court he'd probably get real strong. LOL I'm trying. (possible lineman) I'm not sure why he didn't go out. He got a job, but you can get one of those for the rest of your life.

It seemed to me like the desire to play this year just wasn't there for whatever reason. He was walking in front of the stands at the EC game and I yelled out for somebody to put some pads on that boy!

Definitely one of my proudest "football dad" moments. Son touched the ball 3 times and scored 3 TD's (2 rec., 1 Int)! Also had a freshman son get into the game in mop-up duty. What a memory!

We have a bunch of 'em here!!!!

Here is a great quote from our Sport's Blog guru....
"It stinks to see things end. We're very proud of the team but when a season ends short of the ultimate goal, it's always so sudden and so final. What makes the Orrville sports community special is what makes it very difficult at times too. It's not a curse, that's the wrong word, it's just part of being a fan. You have to be invested as a fan, and with that investment comes an acknowledgment that you have to take the good with the bad.

Some choose not to be invested, fearing a letdown. I guess I've never been that way. I try to enjoy the ride, knowing that you're always one game from the end, and there's never a gentle letdown. It always comes to a screeching halt."

that says it all!
