Understood and well said, not sure if 300 got it though. Wonder what he will say when hoobs is playing on sundays in the future.

how you say anything bad about hoobler is beyond me. However, sometimes people take shots to make themself feel better. Either way he is making Orrville proud. Side note is Sam Miller still playing for Kent??? maybe? Just looking for an update on a former player.

I feel the same way, and not just about Hoobler, but about many of the other big names to come out of Orrville lately. I've known Tommy Brenner personally and also played against Tim Hiller (who was a good friend of my best friend). Both of them and their families are top-notch, and it sounds like the Hoobler family is no different.

300 obviously has a beef with Orrville football players. There are a couple other frequent posters who seem to be in the same boat. We know when all the smoke clears that everyone except the Rider faithful wants to see us lose. Doesn't matter come game time. We prepare like every other team and lay it on the line. Go Riders.

Weather is supposed to be in the mid 50's...perfect tailgating weather. Bring some food and chairs and forget BW3. Food sucks there anyway.
Yeah Sat.

They sure will. ...I doubt anyone in the state's will be as busy as ours though.
Best of luck to you guys. November just won't be the same if we don't get to play each other.

I honestly just rib ya'll to get in your crawl....Im very mixed on this game...would like to see Orrville win, because I enjoy watching them...I have been to playoff games the last few years to watch Orrville...not "other" teams. On the other hand, as much as I dislike Norwayne...I would like to see the WCAL win! Week 13 I would show up to watch Orrville...but I probably would NOT travel to see Norwayne. :(
5knots;964639 wrote:gonna be a beautiful afternoon, Here's aniother idea....get a bucket or two to go and let's get to the stadium early. We can watch some football on the outdoor screen on the RV's and have some fun. My guess is we will try to get their early and park in the same spot we did last year which is right behind the Visitor's bleachers. That way we are near the home locker room and can give our boys a cheer when they arrive. I'll get back on here with a time. the more the merrier.
Will be beautiful...hopefully I get there early enough to visit the RV instead of having to chase you down on the track... I know where the RV will be parked ;)

Completely agree! The past to seasons have been a blast to play the Comets. Both teams have tough matchups this week and still have to get out of the region to play each other. Good luck to you guys as well....play keep away so Maty doesn't have the ball in his hands.

As always...Twitter is where it's at. You guys are missing out.

Better than JJ, OC & FridayNightOhio.com combined as a source for scores.

that is incredible. What is it guys. Is it our coaches, our scheme, just better players, or the perfect combination of all that Genoa seems to do this against everyone but us? Maybe we have been lucky...I don't know? But Jeeeez. how do you let a kid run for 413 yards against you? Tackle Him!!!! At least tackle him and make somebody else beat you! I'm dumbfounded.

LOLOLOL!

Well, today our players took the DR article on the Norwayne line with an "SMH" attitude and filed it away for future reference on Saturday. Keep it up, DR, you are doing us a great pre-game favor!

Under Vicars, we have lost to 4 teams: Kettering Alter, Orrville, Oak Harbor, and Eastwood. There is a common thread between them...sort of. Oak Harbor under coach Quisno ran a Wing-T, Eastwood runs a Wing-T....therefore the 2 way players understand all of the misdirection better, helping them on defense quite a bit.
Alter and Orrville have a little something called Big Ten Linebackers! Hoobler, Borland, and Monheim....Big Ten LB's don't need to understand the Wing-T, they just sniff it out and get it done!!!!! Orrville has better developed athletes too IMO due to a stiffer level of competition, you can't give all the credit to the stud LB's but they sure don't hurt.
The Wing-T may be a junior high offense but when it is done well, it is very tough to defend. Coach Vicars learned it from one of the best Wing-T coaches ever so he is able to coach it very well.
The Kenton D scares me a little bit because of the 6 man front. If Nutter pops through to the 1st level....look out. He's gone...and staying on the field is our best defense against them.
Coach Mauk says he's the best RB they've seen all year...so we'll see how it shakes out.
It's a shame Kyle is only a junior :D
...just for you though 5Knots - we will be losing one Nutter after this year. Next year there will be two and after that there will still be a Nutter one left LOL

That Boreland is a stud for Whisky. Never much of a sniff from OSU. Oh well.

Anyone catch the Bargain Hunter recap article of the Woo game? It was written by Questel ...I believe a different writer than the the DR. Anyway, it is laughable to read how if just this or that or maybe a HUNDRED other things would have gone Woo's way they would have been 10-0 FOREVER!!! Pretty funny read. I understand how the game got away from them.....but please.
