I find it amusing what some people label as old school. I grew up in the early 70's, no cable, and cartoons were only on Saturday mornings. Hell we didn't even have a color television until I was in junior high school.

Not trying to give the old We walked barefoot to school speech, just amusing myself at other definitions of old school.

Some of you folks are listing characters as opposed to the name of the cartoon itself.

This. Bugs Bunny, Taz and Company = Looney Toons

We can sum it up with 4 words Looney Toons Hannah Barbara

I also liked some of the cartoons from the early 90s (Doug, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko...) I wish there was a channel that dedicated itself to playing these shows. I don't know if there is or not.

I think... I guess the animated characters themselves are often referred to as cartoons too.
