Thank you... I do remember that now that you mention it. Looks like many areas may experience some rain/freezing rain/ice. Hope everyone is safe out there...

I went for the first time last year with my wife and my parents. I have to admit, there were some amazing deals. I got my wife a Coach Purse that was marked at $328 for $68.

We are leaving at 7:00pm Thursday night! Lots and lots of caffeine and little turkey for me. Nothing like sitting out in 10 degree weather for 2 hours to buy something (Sarcasm)

1. You won't get the TV at Walmart. I agree with the above poster, stores like that put a few unreal items in their ads to suck you in and unless you basically camp out, you won't even see the item you want.

2. My time is more valuable than waiting 2-3 hours (i.e., at Best Buy, at Kohls, etc.) in a line on Friday to buy something when I can wait 5 minutes in line on any other given day.

3. Actually, I'd rather pay a little more on a sane day shopping than deal with all the idiots sucked up in the Black Friday hoopla.

I have gone out into the madness in the past, and it is pretty crazy, but I thought it was fun too. I got to see a couple of women fist fighting over those j-shaped video game chairs a few years back.

I don't really buy enough to justify going out into it.

Mom was going out, so I asked her to try to get me a 32" LCD TV that Walmart had since she was trying to get one for herself and they allowed each person 2. She got the 2, and they only charged her for one. So she said we would just split the cost of the one. 32" TV for $100.00? Not bad.

There was a fist fight at the Walmart here in Marion around 1 this morning.

When I saw the line for the TV's (some people had been there since 9 last night) I didnt even try. Not worth the wait or the fight in trying to get one.

Low end?

To the stereotypical Wal*Mart shopper, that TV is is like mining for gold.

I had a good time. Went to Toys R Us and stood in the rain from 8-10 then got the things I wanted. Then headed to WalMart and stocked up on the Kung Zhu pets for my 5 year old. Went home and slept for a few hours. Then back to Target around 8 and was amazed at the amount of 4am sales items that were still there. From Target we went to Lowes to pick up an item I bought yesterday online, ate at IHOP, then went to Menards and got a lot of door buster items right before the sale ended at 11. Now home to nap somemore then spend the evening with my boy playing Wii

I ran to Eddie Bauer at 11:15 for their 40% off of everything deal. Picked up a sherpa hoodie, some flannel pajama pants, and a thermal henley for myself and a window scraper/glove combo to keep your hand from getting covered in snow and ice for my wife. It wasn't any more crowded than usual and I saved $67.

I was at Best Buy from about 9:30 until they opened.

Played soccer in the rain and sleet/snow in the parking lot.

Mines just for my bedroom, so I dont really care about it being 'low end'. Plus, I'd had success with Emerson before. Cant beat it for $100.00

I went to Target and picked up the 40" Westinghouse for $298 great deal for the quality.

I had a strategic advantage, out here in LA people think 50 degrees is freezing! Everyone had hugh winter jackets, gloves, scarves the whole 10 yards. Me being from Cleveland, this felt like beach weather haha, I just slipped inside and got what I wanted while these clowns waddled about.

In and out in 20 minutes.

Surprised those gang bangers out there in LA let you get out of the parking lot with it.

I was at Best Buy tonight and they still had all of their blu-ray deals going. I got quite a few for $7.99 and $9.99. Screw getting up early.
