“I didn't leave Jr hanging, you people are crazy. When my crew tells me to pit, I pit. Steve and Chad sort out the details
And if you think either of us could have won from 25th, which is where we were at the caution, you're even more crazy.”

I think Johnson didn't know Jr was about 4th at the white flag with a good chance to win... Jr. had plenty of good words for Ragan after the race; he is from a racing family, he works hard and plays by the rules. Very happy for him and his dad Ken.
Newman said before the race he'd like to see a Cup race in the chase on the Daytona road course, 'but they don't listen to me anyway.' I agree, run the 3.56 and let'em rock and roll !!

I thought Rusty designed, built, and owned it from the start.

yeah i read about it earlier tonight he did design it, and has owned a minority stake in it since day 1. he's keeping his portion, it's just the majority ownership that's changing in this case. to the guy that founded featherlite trailers. rusty gets nothing new from this deal.

With the first four hours of practice in the books, JJ turned 73 laps, and led session 1.

Second practice to start at 4pm.

I'll be at the Nationwide race tomorrow and the Cup race Saturday. Will be my first Cup race since 2003, and my first Nationwide race since, well, it was the Busch Series I think. Should be a good time down at the track.

Sprint Cup qualifying has been stopped for now, because of rain.

Some drivers, ie: drivers who arent running well, are complaining about the track being too bumpy.

Qualifying rained out, set by first practice speeds. Kyle Busch on the pole.

Keselowski and Harvick are just in another zip code tonight.

Side note: as someone who has been to Kentucky Speedway since the first year, its amazing how different it looks now. So glad Bruton Smith bought this track.

Well, since starting positions were set by practice speeds, and he is starting 3rd. I'd say he looked pretty good. :D

Congrats to Kyle on winning the first race at Kentucky. Also a very good run by Denny getting a top 10 finish after starting at the rear of the field and only running two practice laps.
