That's a lot of money to just get BLOWN out by Ohio State every year.

No kidding. Between him and T. Boone Pickins, college sports has two "owners", but sure what other teams across the country have such a luxury.

They already have some kick ass facilities. Might as well stay ahead of the curve.

I'm not sure if any of you have been in the Woody Hayes Center since it was renovated a few years ago, but I got to take a tour a few years back when I had a friend who worked there, and this sounds a lot like what The Woody is like inside.

the WHAC is really nice, but if you ever saw the virtual tour of Oregons facilities (before this whole project was announced) i think its pretty easy to realize that Oregon kinda sets the curve.

theres a longer version out there i just cant find it.

Since Nebraska is getting ready to come to the Big 10, they should be added as having some HUGE pockets behind them.

They also have an assistant coach who is a billionaire and volunteers.

Phil Knight is single handedly making Oregon more and more of a player in college football. I mean I realize they are currently in-line to play for the championship, but they appear to be pretty sustainable now (they look like they are here to stay).

The article forgot to mention that the facility will come in green, yellow, black, "carbon", white, and throwback.

Didn't know about Buffett, although article says if he is a donor he does it anonymously, which I don't believe he gives much because any time he gives money he tells everyone about it.

The volunteer coach is an awesome story!

Ha ha, I guess the long flight back east doesn't register with me because...well, why would you want to come back? Though I will say that Oregon is kind of stupid for the whole, it is illegal to pump your own gas thing.

Just look at where Oklahoma State and Oregon are now too because of their "owners". Oregon is running the Pac-10 and is probably going to continue running it and Oklahoma State has been on the rise and with a win Saturday they're in the Big 12 title. I'm tellin you guys Pickens and Knight have made their respective schools total forces
