We seem to force the opponent to adjust - how quickly CF adjusts will be key tonight. Great thing about that is once they do adjust, we throw something different at them! Our staff is very, very smart in designing schemes and gameplans. Conversely, our opponents have a hard time putting together a plan for us -I believe for 2 reasons: they're very surprised by our athleticism and we have multiple threats. And a 3rd and arguably biggest reason: our kids believe in themselves. Go Riders - show 'em how you do it!
CF's balance does worry me a little. All three of our playoff wins were against 1-dimensional teams. EC & Triway threw it almost exclusively....and Genoa ran it exclusively.
CF will do both and we'll have to play honest. They have a big line and I'm sure they'll try to run it right at our middle LB's. Guys like Cody, Trevor, Max are going to have to make plays tonight.
Both have athletes and both have played "up" in schedule. I think we're the more battle tested team, but we also havent played from behind since the 1st qtr of the Triway game.
We've been fortunate to not make any big turnovers and penalties haven't bit us...we've also benefited from turnovers at the most perfect time by the opponent. Things have gone about as "right" as they could this postseason.
We have to take advantage of opportunities presented to us. Have to put points on the board at every opportunity.
Has the makings of a classic.
