I want to know how my parents split after they graduated from college. She got pregnant, they graduated, and she didn't say anything because she didn't know at the time. She told him I was born, but they never connected because he questioned the timing of it. She convinced him I was his, and he came to our home town to look for her and couldn't. Six years went by and we were contacted my someone in his family. Weird thing is that that was the only contact until a few months ago when I found him on facebook. I just don't get how they couldn't fine each other if there was some kind of communication when I was 6 years old. I grew up in midwest Ohio, and my dad is from Cleveland. I'm 24, and just found him, but it kills me thinking how all the shit transpired back when they were in school, during the pregnancy, and after I was born.

I guess if forced to choose I'd like to know if my father was truly pain free and at peace at the time of his passing. He deserved to be so more than any human I've ever come into contact with.

Holy shit! The exact same thing happened to me when I was 6! We got a call saying my uncle was shot and killed. They ruled it a suicide, but the way the bullet entered him (through the shoulder and it traveled through his chest and hit his heart) made it seem like there was more to the story. He was also at his ex wife's house when it happened.
