I said accurate, I never used the word "fact"

Who has the reading comprehension problem??

You are correct, (finally), I meant to quote molin.

I don't know why, but I keep mixing you two up....That's not a compliment molin....That's not a compliment rocket.

The fact that in our first try in the D1 playoffs we lost is poetic? The fact that win or lose we still have our own kids? That even in our history Southview has a State Title? You know whats poetic? The fact that you whine and complain about the parochials over something that your school has been doing themselves. But yet on the field of play Massillon still has 0 titles now thats poetic.

On another note Maple Heights had no problem dispatching Toledo Central Catholic but thats why we're here isn't it?

Am I going to have to start making the same post two times in a row, I may as well, I feel like that's all I get done doing is explaining my posts to you folks.

Don't over think it son, poetic justice is simply, for example, let's say someone is trying to be cute, and they say something about another school going one and done in the playoffs, THEN, when looked into closer, it's found that HIS school, has went one and done more than the school he was trying to be cute about. In other words, nice try.

As far as losing in your first try, no, I never mentioned that as being poetic, but technically, after all the bravado talk a couple years ago, it is kind of funny.

You can throw out the Maple Hgts game, but look at the big picture son, care to compare ALL the private/parochial head to heads?

I still haven't seen your response to rmolin regarding his statement of fact that since the inception of titles actually being "won" on the field, your school name is missing from a list that started 40 years ago (next year)

You live in the past, tell me about the last 40 years

I don't live in the past, I'm just dragged back to the past by people like you. See, when YOU fine people go back to the past, I naturally have to go back there to defend my school. So what "statement" are you talking about....and technically, people aren't usually expected to respond to "statements", it's questions they respond to.

An even more in depth look reveals more disturbing Southview schedule woes.

In the last 6 years

YES, THAT IS SIX (6) YEARS.

That would be 60 opponents for each Massillon & Southview

Massillons regular season opponents that have made the playoffs....28
Southviews regular season opponents that have made the playoffs....9

Now, let's take a look at the quality of those opponents
Of Massillons 28 playoff opponents....they played a combined 74 playoff games
with 18 making it past the first round
with 13 making it past the 2nd round
with 10 making it past the 3rd round
Including
'06 Mckinley semis
'06 Mentor runners up
'06 Hamilton Az. state champs
'07 Mentor runners up
'07 Ursuline runners up
'08 Ignatius state champions
'08 Ursuline state champions
'09 Steubenville semis
'10 Buchtel runners up

On the schedule in those six years are names like
Elder
Mentor
Ignatius
Warren Harding
McKinley
Moeller
Hamilton Az.
Buchtel
Middletown
Solon
Ursuline
GlenOak
Steubenville

Not bad for a school that has just a small handful more kids than you do.

Now, let's take a look at the LACK of quality on the Southview schedules over the last six years
Of Southviews 9 playoff opponents....they have played a combined eleven (11) playoff games.
with 2 making it out of the first round
with 1 making it out of the second round
with 7 of the 9 being....one and done. (I know you love that phrase)

That's pathetic. Southview has also only played one (1) parochial school twice over the 6 year time span, (maybe that's why Mr molin loves em so much).

And, since I had a hard time finding it, I will let YOU tell ME, who your quality opponents were, let me know, because I'm really interested. Again....Who are Southviews quality opponents?

Don't throw stones when you live in a glass house molin. Now, I say we get back to the subject, since this thread WAS intended for public/private.

Skank I have stated here and on many other occasions that Southviews out of conference schedule could be better. So keep beating that drum. Also being an independent you all should have a more attractive schedule. While we are stuck with the teams in our league good and bad. But the question still remains even with our weak schedule we have a D2 title and you guys have 0. You cannot tell me that your enrollment has always been that small. But why can't you answer the question. You guys recruit, give parents jobs, have kids from out of state, but yet you can't get it done. By the way my reference to a one and done era for you guys is something new. With the new TRAC league you won't see any 6-4 teams making it.

Now lets talk about private school opponents the boys from Southview love to play them and beat them even if their record against private schools are 2-1. They don't whine or complain or make excuses they feel as though they have as much if not more talent than any team they face. When we lost to Toledo St. Francis it was a loss nothing more. So they just worked harder and beat them with our Southview boys.

So to further exemplify poetic justice...let's say someone is trying to be cute and accuse private schools of cheating and recruiting. THEN, when we looked into it closer, it's found that HIS school has actually been punished by the OHSAA for violating the "recruiting rule." OK...I think I get the example now.

Yeah right, and if my aunt had **lls she would be my uncle. The first time you lost to a parochial school you would make up some crap about God cheats for the Catholic schools or some other absurd reason.

Yeah, you do keep stating that, but when I state that I don't like playing Canadian teams, that doesn't stop you and the boys/girls from beating that drum now does it?

So, you're saying that being an Independent we SHOULD have the more attractive schedule, As in admitting that we DO have the more attractive schedule? More attractive than say....Southviews? Yet you choose to criticize our schedule? I don't understand.

So, it's ok to play a weak team if their in your league?

YOU brought up our schedule....I pointed out YOUR schedule was WAY WAY WAY WAY weaker than ours, despite the close proximity in enrollment, case closed. If you would like me to research more, let me know, it was fun....Or was it funny?

Then, in the middle of our debate, Elyria Catholic gets caught, I believe St. Joe is still on probation, and the "New Regina" team is busted.
But after every crushing blow, you and the boys claim that you don't do it.

What do you call it when someone gets away with it for, oh, say....40 years?

YOU GO DR. ROSS. YOU GO.

What is it with you parochial fellas and the obsession with the male groin area, I'll tell you what, with the language you and the "parochial 4" have thrown around, and the namecalling, you guys call yourselves good Catholics? Nice.

Maybe a little time reliving your alter boy days would be good punishment for you.

Exactly. "Me and the Boys" claim that Mooney does not recruit. I stand by that. My school has never been on probation or in trouble for recruiting. Can you say the same about your school?

Nobody ever said that no private schools recruit. We also didn't say that all public schools recruit. We did say that Mooney does not, and I stand by that statement.

If ANY of you can tell me on this thread, that the Cincinnati Moeller teams of the '70s & '80s did not recruit, or the LBJ St. V teams did not recruit....I will leave this thread and stay away forever. Your move.

Do you ever quit trying to dance around an issue. Admit it Shuffler, you're a politician aren't you? Nobody dances around an issue like a politician.

Sherm

Shuffler's law: ONLY PAROCHIAL SCHOOLS RECRUIT. Public schools only try to LEVEL the playing field.
