Ya, we really need a few rednecks to set the course of the state

Of course, it will be another exercise in futility

Whiners make more noise, but they don't win (for an example, look at Skank)

Please pray for Justin Cummings and his whole family, for he was in a car crash and may never walk again [may be paralyzed waist-down].

NOW you're attacking a WHOLE county?

You just don't get it do you? These people have had enough of being the parochial whipping boys.

I will say this PRIDE, regarding what I just finished reading in another forum. You probably should have posted this on the HS forum, and maybe started it's own thread. But some of the comments I just read confirmed what a bunch of assholes we have on here.

Oh, I get it. You're just a jealous little pussy

Not really hard to figure that out

And yes, I am calling out an entire county. Those good ol' boys would love to tear down the best high school playoff system in the country

You may be for that (maybe 'cuzz your team hasn't won a title) but that doesn't make it right, hillbilly

No, just want fair.

It must be hard to figure out, anyone who doesn't agree with you is called names.

Yeah, these HS administrators/AD's/Coaches don't know as much as you. I agree it's the best tournament in the country, if only it was run fairly.

The reason my team hasn't won a tournament? See highlighted words above.

I disagree Stank! You have lost because you didn't score more points than the other team. It has nothing to do with being unfair! Both teams get 48 minutes to score as many points as possible, also during that time each team can try and minimize the amount of points their opponent scores. The only unfair thing is that champions used to be crowned without beating the best teams in the state. Let me ask this. If they do seperate should open enrollment still be allowed?

From the beginning of the 1999-2000 school year through the 2009-10 school year, there were 616 state championships. The private schools won 275 (45%) of these championships.
Breaking this down, it looks like this:
Football—66 state championships—31 (47%) won by non-public schools
Volleyball—44 state championships—28 (63%) won by non-public schools
Boys Soccer—33 state championships—15 (45%) won by non-public schools
Girls Soccer—22 state championships—11 (50%) won by non-public schools
Boys Basketball—44 state championships—14 (31%) won by non-public schools
Girls Basketball—44 state championships—23 (52%) won by non-public schools
Wrestling—30 state championships—21 (70%) won by non-public schools
Baseball—40 state championships—20 (50%) won by non-public schools
Softball—40 state championships—3 (1%) won by non-public schools
Based on these statistics, it appears that there is an inequity in the OHSAA tournament structure.

So beside wrestling and volleyball looks like its a 50/50 shot to win a state title.

Seriously your going to bring forth those stats for your argument? Beside the two sports I mentioned , looks like it is pretty balanced excluding Softball, looks as if Privates need some help there!

These superintendents sent out a survey in late 2009 asking for input from all Ohio superintendents. The results showed that almost 70% thought there was a competitive imbalance, and 72.5% said they would support a separation of public and private school tournaments, both sanctioned by the OHSAA.
There are 831 OHSAA member schools—700 public (84%) and 131 (16%) non-public.

If you know of some statistical information that would make the seperatists change their minds, by all means, post it here.
