Where's that kid? We need about 10 of those at Alter. I don't care what class they're in! Maybe we can fly them here every day for class and practice with all that booster money we have in the bank. It would have to be at least a G7, with that number of kids. Of course we'd have a tutor on board, as well as government supplied breakfast, lunch and dinner. Will a state voucher cover all those costs? Maybe the school district's busing money?skank;922505 wrote:Why would coaches attend an academic event? The coaches had to be on hand so that approximately 30 seconds after the family, of the 6'2" 220 freshman to be, entered the open house, dad could say, "Ok, I like what I see, where are the coaches?"

I'd say mostly at Ignatius, St. Ed, St. X, Elder, Moeller, Mooney, Ursuline....Notice a trend here?

Yep...all are state champions. I know that if I was a young kid with that size, I would rather play at one of the schools on that list instead of at a place where I wasn't going to win a title...somewhere like Massillon.skank;931158 wrote:I'd say mostly at Ignatius, St. Ed, St. X, Elder, Moeller, Mooney, Ursuline....Notice a trend here?

I didn't see them at those places, but I did see them at Glenville, Maple Heights, Pick Central, Colerain, Davidson, Steubenville, Middletown, etc., etc. And none of those schools and none of the schools you mentioned did anything we know of to violate the rules. You just have to get those aliens out of your head, Skank (and others). BTW, congrats to Massillon tonight. Saw parts of that game and they played well. I'll bet they didn't violate any rules, either. So how did they beat up on a good Harding team? Oh, I guess it was hard work, dedication, great coaching, spiritual motivation and a team attitude. That also seems to work for private schools.

You know Harding is now 1-7 right? I don't see how you can call that a "good" team.

Massillon has a shot at winning a title almost everyyear. Honestlysherm03;932636 wrote:Yep...all are state champions. Another post with punctuation nowhere to be found.
And, btw English Major, it's, "they're" NOT "their". While we're at it, it's 0 and not o.

I agree, If I were young again, and saw all these kids being drawn in by todays modern parochial school coaches, I may have to reconsider. Of course, I wouldn't be able to afford the tuition....Wait, what? For free? You're kidding right? You mean I could go to, ________ (fill in random parochial school), for FREE, just because I'm a good athlete?

You didn't see them at parochial schools, yet you DID happen to see them at a handful of publics? Seems to fit right in with the theme of this thread doesn't it?

Why, because I don't agree with you? Because I haven't given in to the parochial 7? Because I know the difference between "their" and "they're"? Because I use punctuation? Which, btw, you again failed to use in the post above this one.

Here's a good way for you to remember.
"Hey Rain man, Mooney recruits really well over THERE in the Youngstown area."
"Hey Rain man, Mooney had a good recruiting year, THEY'RE going to be good this year".
"Hey Rain man, Mooney probably had THEIR best recruiting year this past season."

me ? Your saying im nuts for just saying Massillon has a shot at a tilte almost everyyear??? Why is that nuts ? They make the playoffs almost every year which gives them a SHOT? Or wait are you changing your stance on this topic and conceding that your university schools cheat like they do with impunity ??? Incidently Massillon still usually has a shot .. They have gone deep into the playoffs several times and I will also add how sweet it was to beat the University of Ursulin this year even though you had the most corrupt officiating crew Ive seen in a long time .Rocket08;933188 wrote:You're nuts

Skunk
You need help
Although you are probably way beyond help
I know that it's been a rough 40 years, but guess what, it's not going to get better
Go back and read your posts as if somebody else wrote them. Even you should be able to see that there's quite a bit missing from your life
You won't find it here. And you won't find a better life here either

Stop crying, according to Chiefs, the simple fact that you brought this subject up, means you're crying.

It's interesting that an English Major, can give a psych evaluation on the internet, yet still doesn't grasp the concept of commas and periods in sentences.

Are elementary boys that are leaders in the gym class from across the Mahoning and Trumble counties going to be given free admission to the UU- UM game ?

It's kind of amazing that you can't spell Ursuline or Trumbull correctly, but you can spell Mahoning correctlyThinthickbigred;934725 wrote:Are elementary boys that are leaders in the gym class from across the Mahoning and Trumble counties going to be given free admission to the UU- UM game ?

To answer your question, ALL 7th and 8th grade students from the parochial grade schools that are considered Mooney feeder schools get free admission to the Mooney games.
