That said, I have to hand it to skank for coming clean and confessing that he could imagine that maybe once every ten or twenty years that an Orrville or an Ironton might compete with his mighty Tigers. Now that was never the point, as the debate (at least I thought) was strictly about whether the publics like Orrville and ironton and Massillon should be forced to compete for a 'state championship' which would go to the team that beat all the teams except for a handful of the best programs of their size, or whatever you would print on the juice box / trophy. That's the topic. Near as I can tell it's case closed. Not sure many folks want to spend time chasing down rumors of "recruiting" in swimming, but all interested should have at it.

We hear it locally every day. I don't know where all these recruits everyone talks about the parochial going out to get but they are not here. We play hard nosed football and win that way. Div. IV is a tough division that beat up on Div. II and III champions. No matter how you multiply it we will play harder practice longer and lift more weights till we win. Dedication is a mother of all multipliers. Put that in your multiplier.

It's called the big picture Sherlock. If someone in your town gets murdered by having their arms ripped off and being beaten to death by their own arms, and a day later, it happens in the town next to you....They're PROBABLY related.

You don't look at the big picture. You only look at things that you think are wrong by private schools. You have made countless excuses why it is OK for your school to bring in a QB from another state. Either families have the right to choose the best school for their kids (the option that I prefer) or they don't. You jump back and forth on the issue depending upon which schools are being looked at.

You didn't mention that it's OK for his school to hunt down players from other schools and have them transfer in to Massillon.

Somehow that's OK, but everyone else has an "advantage"

That's why he's a hypocrite, and no one on here, (other than coyotes) gives him any consideration

Massillon has been on probation before....yes. I don't condone recruiting, I don't care who is doing it. About 10 years ago, (give or take), A couple of boosters took a kid from Mansfield out to eat and tried to coherse him into moving to Massillon. THE VERY SECOND the administration caught wind of this, they, themselves called the OHSAA and basically turned themselves in, which I applauded them for.

Please show me a post where I "made excuses" as for why it's ok for "my" school to "bring in" a QB from another state. Why don't you do us ALL a favor and call Diebold and ask them why they transfered one of their employees to Ohio....If they say they did it so the kid could play football for Massillon, I'll never post here again. And Finally, I can live with families choosing what's best for their kids, what I have a problem with is coaches nudging families into decisions, and helping those decisions with FREE educations for those kids.

How many of the kids that Massillon has brought in over the years have received a FREE education?

How many kids that started at McKinley are currently at Massillon?

Let's start with that

Your "recruiting" did not end 10 years ago, and you know it

Many should read the article about Elyria Catholic in yesterday's (December 15th) Columbus Dispatch sports section on page C 2. And yet many are in such denial.

Again, public school Trotwood Madison just came off 2 years probation for the same offenses as EC. You'd be wise to stop humping the EC situation. It really does nothing to advance your argument.

Maybe we just realize that hard work, dedication, and good coaching makes quite a difference no matter if you're a public or private school. Or doesn't that concept make sense to you? If it doesn't than you just don't "GET IT."

What a concept....Seriously, who doesn't know that hard work, dedication, desire, heart, mental toughness, etc....etc....etc....Make a difference. You think you parochial school guys are the only ones who know that? You guys have that precious "PA", and you'll go to any lenghts to protect it, including trying to bamboozle us into buying into your...."we work hard", "our kids want it more", philosophy.

Maybe he, (and all the rest of us public school guys), are just a little surprised that the OHSAA is finally cracking down on things that they usually look the other way about.

No, we have nothing in common. My school wins State Championships, (lots, on the field where it counts). And your school recruits transfers like crazy and has nothing to show for it

Nope, we don't have anything in common

Try again

P.S. Since you're Mr. Vocabulary on here, even though you screw up more than anyone, alot isn't a word

Nice education at good old Washington HS

NOT

That's another thing we don't have in common, your school is deficient, mine is stunningly excellent

Sorry hater
