How about Boardman raiding the Catholic grade schools for guys like Tommy Zetts and John Greco. Both were in the parochial feeder schools from K-8. But they both went to Boardman high school when it came time. Did anyone complain about that?

Maurice Clarett ring a bell anyone? Somehow he was able to play his freshman year at Fitch, and then play the next three years at Harding. I'm sure nothing fishy was going on there. And I'm sure Dayne Hammond's near transfer from Boardman to Harding was completely on the up-and-up.

The point of this post? Public schools get kids from outside their borders just like private schools do. As long as it's done within the rules, nobody should have a bitch about it.

Nice examples, now multiply those X 100, and we'll start calling them St. Boardman and Archbishop Warren.

Again....Benedictine.

In the 1980s, to adjust to new circumstances, the school developed an extensive bus system. The system allowed for young men from all over the Cleveland area to attend Benedictine.

In last 10 yrs all but 1 of your playoff losses have been to publics. Is that defined enough for you now? Now go spend time exposing big reds recruiting instead of focusing on private schools. Or are you afraid of big red exposing you in retaliation.

Ok, you know how to use Joe Eitels site.

Let me explain this to you one more time....I've been around for more than 10 years, I am not basing any of this on the last 10 years....Or the first 10 years. It's called the big picture.

No it's called the so called unfair competitive advantage that people like you believe the private schools have. I am just pointing out the obvious , this is the here and now and the most recent results should be taken into consideration. You have lost to publics in the playoffs in the here and now.

The...."so called unfair competative advantage?"

That...."People like me believe private schools have?"

First of all, just because MASSILLON has lost to public schools, in your, "here and now", doesn't mean a thing.

If this, "SO CALLED" unfair competative advantage didn't exist, would the OHSAA be looking to make adjustments to the system? Do you think they have nothing better to do?

Also, you speak of the,"here and now", and you feel strongly about, "recent results being taken into consideration"?

You want, "recent events taken into consideration?" Is that what you want? How about these "recent events"?

In fourteen (14), public vs Private matchups in the Division I State Semi finals since 1999, and through 2011, privates hold an 11-3 lead.

Now....Let's move forward into more of your, "here and now", diatribe, shall we?

Again, from '99 through '11, there have been six (6), public vs private matchups in Division I State Championship games, guess what....Privates hold a 6-0 lead.

You're right....I kinda like this new, "here and now" rule.

P.S. If you would like me to provide more stats to support your new, "here and now" rule, simply let me know.

That would be a start

But at your school you just need to hope most of them graduate

That's the challenge you need to worry about

Baby steps Skank! Let's work on beating the publics first , then maybe you'll get a crack at a private if they win also.

Maybe we WON'T get a shot at a private....If things are handled correctly by the OHSAA.

A.) St. Ignatius
B.) St. Edward
C.) Cardinal Mooney
D.) Ursuline
E.) Moeller
F.) St. Xavier

Which one of these schools will win the services of David Sills now that Red Lion Christian Academy is shutting down the machine?

Since we're on the public/parochial thread, I think your big concern should be getting your AD to sack up a little. In the last 10 years, Massillon has played, Ignatius 8 times....St. Edward 2 times....Elder 1 time....Moeller 1 time....Benedictine 2 times....Ursuline 2 times....DCJ 1 time....And Hoban 1 time.

YOUR school....In the same 10 year span, has scheduled ONE (1), PAROCHIAL, 3 times, Toledo St. Francis. THREE times in ten years your school has played a parochial. Your AD, or coach, or whoever it may be, HAS NO BALLS.

I've seem your schedule, it's laughable. As weak as I, and everyone in Massillon think OUR schedule was this past year, yours was worse. Massillons opponents went 60-44, Southviews? 48-54.

This years schedule has Toledo St. Johns, Toledo Central Catholic, and Toledo St. Francis. If you knew anything about our coach he is not afraid to play anyone and he has an ego to a fault. Our AD now that's a different story. But guess what we aren't complaining about seperating the playoffs or who we win or lose to you are. We have also beat Akron Hoban on our way to a state title on your field. It hurts I know. Maybe if you all weren't a one trick pony with no tricks you wouldn't be so hell bent on having seperate playoffs. We have state titles in other sports as well. If our schedule was so weak how did we finish as the #4 seed? While you all were 12th?

I agree....But the schools listed should not be able to have a bidding war for him. Will the OHSAA allow him to "rent" an apartment near Ignatius High School should he choose them? Will the OHSAA allow him to live in one of the coaches houses should he choose Moeller?
