We owe our green friends, but we won't pay off until we play them or know we won't have to pay them!

Got texts all night from my Malvern buddy. At half I told him that Garaway would make a big push in the second half. It never happened.

Buddy said it was announced before the game that Honigford was a McD's all-american nominee AND IVC POY. Can't argue. He's worthy. I guess I am really biased toward the best player on the championship team who sacrificed some numbers for his team. I think his name is Dylan something or the other! Tucci had a really nice season too.

Pariah, I agree with you. Not saying the Dylan deserved MVP, but it is too often underlooked when players play team ball and do not necessarily rack up the scoring numbers. Oh well, I am sure he would much rather win a state championship.

Also, quick note. On the subject of P.O.Y., congrats to Malvern grad Trevor Halter. OAC Regular Season and Tournament M.V.P. He is the first Marietta Pioneer ever to do so, and hit the game winning three to beat John Carroll Saturday night in front of a sold out crowd for the OAC championship. His pioneers are the 12th ranked team in D3.

Great, great player. I'd like to see he and Noah Boyd go at it one on one. They remind me of each other. Not too many 6'7", 6'8" guards out there! The ivc has been fortunate to enjoy seeing two of them in the last several years.

Never saw the IVC all star teams: 1st, 2nd teams, HM, etc. Is there a link someone would have?

2 IVC teams take the New Phila sectional again (Hiland, Malvern), tho malvern had the more difficult route, escaping with a 2 point win over TCC last night. Didn't see that game, though heard the end on the radio. Sounds like TCC played very well and maybe Malvern was caught looking ahead a tad? Either way, congrats to both teams on advancing.
Liked the Hawks' play last night. Passed the ball very well and and played nice dee---especially on Bailey down low. Took his spin move away quite well. Tho he didn't have any points, thought Luke played an awesome game. Great dee, great passes... Keep it up guys.
CV has a few nice young players that got some tourney exposure; with Bailey and those kids (assuming Bailey will be back?) they can make it tough for some teams down the road...they just have the misfortune of being in a tough sectional---though the lanscape could be quite different in a couple years!

That's all the writeup mentioned.

i understand why/how it happened, but having several of those players on the 1st team and Bonifant on the 2nd team is a crime. (Same goes for East district, though he at least got 2nd team there.)
