For the 2nd or 3rd round they might want to consider Sean Canfield.

I wouldn't even consider Canfield until the 4th.

If we take a questionable QB in the 2nd round I might have to convince myself that football isn't that cool anyways.

Teams are built from the inside out. The Browns have done it ass backwards (other than Mack and Thomas) since 99. Suh is a no brainer. We need a G, Tackle and TE on the right side. Fix the oline and then take skill players not the other way around.

Depends on if Mangini gets fired correct?

Watching a left handed rookie QB behind the current linemen that the Browns have on the right side, that would be comical.

Not necessarily. If the new GM has the last word, he may demand they switch to the 4-3. Looking at the players available on the current roster, that would be a wise choice.

I do agree that the Browns should take a stud defensive player though.
We won't take a QB. It doesn't make sense.

When you average around 6-7 drops a game, and have zero play makers to help out a young QB, plus a RG, and a RT that can't block to save their lives, you don't get a new QB when you don't know what you have in Quinn.

We'll be taking either Gerald McCoy, Ndamukong Suh, or Eric Berry.

If we trade down to pick 7-10, we'll look at Rolando McClain, Joe Haden, Jerry Hughes, etc.

Corey Williams is a good tackle if the new regime runs the 4-3. But what do you do with Wimbley?

This team has so many holes it's crazy. The thing that frightens me most about this draft is the prospect Mangini could have some say in it.

If he does, the franchise is screwed.

I'd like to see them take Berry.

This is a joke right? We'll run a 46/43 base defense, and Wimbley will be on an island and playing off of Shaun Rogers.

The switch to the 46/43 would be ideal for Wimbley.

Watching the game last night you couldn't go wrong with Suh. I like Berry too. It's got to be one of those 2 IMO.

If the Browns draft Suh they could have an interior of Suh and Rogers with a switch to the 4-3. Suh was absolutely nasty yesterday. I still like McClain. He was all over the field yesterday too.

Suh should win the Heisman

let's take a look at this thread after Thursday's win. IMO the Browns need another win or twp to get into "Rolando Territory" in the draft.

The only way we'll get him is if we get the #1 pick.

Yeah, they may not get Suh--but they certainly could get the 1st pick. I think he's probably going to go #1. But they can't go wrong with Suh, Berry or McClain so if they're in the top 10 (which they're clearly going to be) they'll probably be able to get one of them.

If the team performs like it did against the Steelers, another win or two isn't out of the realm of possibility. If that happens, they'll be looking at a top 10 pick, but probably around 8 or so.

Suh is now off the table for the Browns. Forget even dreaming of him. He'll go first in this draft and the Browns will NOT be picking there.

I still want them to go defense with the first pick because I don't see an offensive player in this group worthy of the kind of money they'll command. All of them have too much risk; the defensive players seem to be "safer" picks.

As for the lack of playmakers around the Browns, I'd like to see how Robiskie, Mo Mass and Jennings/Davis develop before declaring them devoid of talent. It's well known that receivers take a year or two to develop (usually) and if the right side of the line gets strengthened -- I'm not certain a running back stable of Harrison, Jennings, Davis and Cribbs might not be just fine.

If they're going to pick offense they have to pick CJ Spiller.

If they go offense, they need to go for a RT.

You don't draft a RT in the top 10 of the draft. Too much money. a good right tackle can be had in round 2 or 3

^Exactly. They need to take CJ Spiller if they go offense--they shouldn't even go offense. You can get a serviceable RT in the 2nd or 3rd or even through free agency.

I agree we need a LB like Rey M. ... who doesn't need a two-down linebacker averaging 4 tackles a game?
