This Dover fan, indeed every legit Dover fan I know, respects Big Red immensely. - would rather get beaten by Big Red than crush someone 63 - 7. Great program. Intense fans. Good people.

Are you saying you would rather LOSE to Big Red than BEAT some team 63-7? You would rather LOSE than WIN ??

I think he meant he rather play a top opponent rather than play a slouch. I dont think he meant to slight his own team ofcourse....This is a who likes Big Red thread ..The mud slinging is in another thread down the hall ..i left it all for those people

Exactly. It is better to play a prestigious team like Steubenville with a 5% chance of winning than to play a lesser program with a 99% chance of winning. Steubenville IS the team to beat, not only in Region 11, but in all of Division III, year after year. Most program's goal is to make the playoffs. Big Red's goal every year is not only the playoffs, but a state championship, and is a major contender every year. Coach Reno is a worthy torch carrier for a program who's winning tradition goes back decades. I'm not trying to stroke egoes or win any points with Big Red fans; facts and tradition speak for themselves.

....oh, and Harding Stadium, aka Death Valley (well earned nickname), is absolutely incredible.

Going to UC tomorrow to see Zach against Rutgers, so I won't be able to see Dover-Marlington. Best of luck to the Tornadoes.

And ROLL RED ROLL!!!

No one at Dover has anything but respect for the BIG Red Program. This years game was some of the best high school football I've ever watched. Both teams left it all out on the field. That game gets played 6 times it goes 3-3. Look forward to matching up against your program again next year. How about a regular season matchup ;) Make us both better.

Thinking like that, I'm glad you are not my coach. A coach will take a win any way he can get it.

The same 3-4 people posting over and over. Not the "Big Red Nation" that is 50 strong and willing to knock everyone when they don't go one and done... Kinda feel bad for you guys... Well not really.

For someone that "hates" Big Red but always seems to put his 2 cents into a Big Red thread. It was funny how your posting fell of the map when your skins had yet another great 6 win season and proved your playoff prediction wrong again.

We will be a power to be reckoned with. I also expect us to be a state champion contender for several years after that.

you have to win a few games in state first lol

According to whom? We followed the rules. Eight of our ten regular season opponents make their respective playoffs. Two went all the way and three are still playing. That's a tough enough schedule for anyone.

I sure would like to find a Big Red fan that has some old Football Programs from your home games versus Canton Mckinley and Massillon. Paul

My father began collecting Big Red football programs in 1926. He saved hundreds and hundreds of them over the years. About a dozen years ago he donated the whole collection to the school. If you want to see them, I'm sure Reno or Fred would let you.

My mother bought a house a few years ago and in the cellar I found a whole box of old Big Red programs ..reg season and playoff programs ..No AAC programs sorry to say ..I also have 4 mint condition year books from Steubenville Wells high school ..They were my great uncles from 1919.1922...Coach Cartlege in his first years as Big Reds head coach very interesting........Great pics of old North end field just cool stuff ..
