Macklin got his fouls at bad times.

Really pumped for this season. Have a lot of pieces to make a run of it. Interesting to see how they gel together after getting some more game time together. Stay healthy and the Big Ten will be a lot of fun.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't Tyus the player OSU didn't get because Evan Turner gave his verbal to Matta first? My memory says they both had offers and the first one to say yes got the scholarship.

Macklin is very good, but I think Green and Roe from MSU are both better. Johnson from Purdue as well, but he isnt the same type of player (neither is Green)...and Jon Luer might be the best big man in the Big Ten (most versatile). Id also say Illinois has some formidable big men.

Not sure who Sully will guard of those, but those are some Big Guys who are as good as Macklin.

I will agree than Macklin probably has the best post moves (or move) out of any of the big guys on the schedule.

Who does OSU have in the ACC/B10 challenge?

None of which are as good as Macklin, IMO. At least one's that can matchup with Sullinger from a physical standpoint.

Big time win for the Bucks, and it was a fun game to watch too.

-Sullinger is the real deal!
- Lighty developed a jump shot, what do you know?
- Buford and Diebler could hit a ton of 3s this year, with all of the attention Sullinger will get in the post
- Why did Florida continue to press even though it led to Sullinger getting an uncontested dunk nearly every single trip up the court?

None of those guys are a 5. Roe is a 4 and Green is an undersized 5, whom I really like, but can't matchup with Sullinger.

I think they play Miami in the ACC, but no sure.

I dont think ANYONE can stop Sullinger. Im just saying I think those guys can score on Sully the same way Macklin did (again, keep in mind I only saw half #1.) What type of player was Thomas in hs? Inside? Outside? Shooter? Scorer? I just never got a chance to watch him play in high school.

Sure he might have some matchup problems defensively, but NO ONE can guard him 1-1 when he has the ball. He will open things up so much for OSU, even moreso than Turner ever did. That is why Diebler can be so valuable to this team. If you have to double Sullinger, and you make it a point of emphasis to not leave Diebler open, you are then playing 3-2 and you can get whatever look you want.

Thomas did it all in high school, but he was used a lot inside (if video I recall seeing was accurate). However, he did step out and hit 3s regularly.

He was so good he did whatever he wanted. There were games he would take 10 threes. Games he would dominate on the block. Games wherehe went to the line (27 times one game). You dont almost break the Indiana HS scoring record without doing it all.

At 6-9, and his size (IE playing smaller than he actually is), I think he is best suited as a 3 (for the NBA). At OSU, I think he can be used like he was in HS. Depending on who OSU is playing, he can be a mismatch on the post or as a 3. OSU is so deep at the 3 however, he will likely always be a 4, but with the ability to go outside.

He will take awhile to get better defensively because he is from Fort Wayne, and so he only played the Indy kids in the summer and in select games throughout the season. He pretty much dominated anyone in Fort Wayne (which isnt bad, because Fort Wayne has a TON of talent. But nothing like Indy). That will be the biggest thing for him I think.

He is a scorer, so games like today will happen (where he lets it fly way to soon). That will be an adjustment as well, but not as much so as defense because I doubt Matta wants him to stop being the player he is at the offensive end. He will need to learn the offensive sets and run them sure. But I dont think he will stop shooting at a high rate.

agree 100%. Just pointing out the player who I would consider better or nearly as good as Macklin that Sully might see this year.

BTW, Sullinger is absolutely a one and done if he wants to be. He is quite possibly the best post player in college basketball. I'm even more impresed than I thought I'd be, and I don't even think he played great tonight.

I could see a game or two when he scores 40, rather easily.

Craft is a one man press breaker. Get the ball to him and get out of his way. Just a very heady player with some handles. I wonder if anyone learned from Donovan's mistakes tonight. And there are plenty of finishers and a lot of unselfishness to reap the benefits after the press is broken.

I didn't get the chance to watch it because I was at the X game. But without anything other than the score, mad props to OSU on that win. That isn't an easy environment to go into and thoroughly beat the hell out of a team.
