I guess that's too small of a sample size to play the "nobody believes in us" routine...but it sure feels like it's Genoa by 10, Genoa close, Genoa in OT..or somehow the game magically ends in a tie.

RedRider1....Although I think the D4 state championship is being played tonite....Kenton vs Alter. I have no problem betting on the riders to win this week and possibly next...depending on bracketing. The champs will come out of region 16 (IMO).

Orr/Genoa fans....I can't believe you guys filled 30+ pages hating then loving each other. My God, this thread reads like a Jerry Springer episode (only waaaaaay longer). All of you should stop at Quaker Steak & Lube in nearby Sheffield for a few rounds of "therapy". Good luck and play nice.

Yea...toothbrush we had a lot of hostility dating back from last years 2nd round game...I think we worked it all out. Just a couple of small towns that have a lot in common.

It's funny that I was saying the same thing 2-3 weeks ago but got bashed by Orrville fans. Oh well. Good luck Riders!
For cryin out loud Pit...it was 41-7 when we pulled our Defense....that is more than few jump balls! Get over it!

Exactly my point. It was a back-and-forth game before those 2 big plays changed the complexion of the game. RedRider1 was making that point, as well, that one or two big plays here or there can totally change a game. Take your beef up with RedRider1.

You are only allowed to use that type of justification on Rt. 57.

20-6 at the half and that's already 2 scores down, 41-6 early in the 4th, that's 5 scores down, and then your qb still in to get his numbers up, leads to 2 scores against the jv's. Not even close because there is no such thing as 2 14 point plays , final 41 to 19 :)

It was a 7-6 game with 5:45 left in the 2nd (over 18 minutes into the game). Then Orrville had two big, game-changing plays. Orrville got the ball to start the 2nd half, had the momentum from those two previous scores (the 2nd of which was right before half with 1:34 left in the 2nd) and promptly scored 49 seconds into the 3rd quarter, and the game was over.

And it was not 41-6 early in the 3rd. Orrville's 2nd TD came with 1:37 in the 3rd. That's almost 7/8 through the 3rd quarter. ;)

First Quarter Summary:
(10:39) Triway 6-0
(9:18) Orrville 7-6

Second Quarter Summary:
(5:44) Orrville 13-6
(1:34) Orrville 20-6

Third Quarter Summary:
(11:11) Orrville 27-6
(1:37) Orrville 34-6

Fourth Quarter Summary:
(9:25) Orrville 41-6
(7:25) Orrville 41-12
(1:14) Orrville 41-19

I've said all along that after those first 18 minutes, Orrville earned & made the big plays and handled the Titans for the rest of the game. My one and only point is that those 2 big plays did change the game and swung momentum (permanently) for the Red Riders.

AND, the team is now heading up 57 bringing the swag to Avon Lake! My prediction as usual is: Orrville by one (I like that 37-36 score....that was a clever one!).
