Heard a funny story at the booster club meeting last night per our AD, at the meeting with the people at Avon Lake the Genoa AD said his fans want to get there about 1pm.....the Avon Lake AD said "we are still in School they can't come that early, why do they need to come so early?" Genao AD said a group of them last week at tiffin got there in time to roast a WHOLE DEER! I am starting to love the Genoa fan! that is hilarious! He also asked about noisemakers and he was told nothing that is mechanical....he said yeah, we tell our fans that every week and every week they keep bringing whatever they want. I give Genoa the nod on fantastic fans! Can't wait to see the spectacle in person again.

Haha well can't say our fans aren't interesting

I just passed a dead ground hog on the road. I didn't know if I should go back and get it for the Genoa faithful? Does that go with Deer?

btw, that video is very well done. could we hire them out for us this Friday?

I'd man that camera....but i'd need all-access....locker rooms, practice, team functions. I'd be the proverbial "fly on the wall."

Well I rolled back to days for Friday and have an interview at 2:00 also. Hope I don't look too impatient as I keep checking my watch while they're talking to me...

Thanks for the kudos on the videos, they were a blast for my oldest boy and I to make. Nothing this year though - no kids left in the program and I was out of town all of October. There has been a recent grad filming all the games I've seen, so I assume that he has been making highlights for the team.

Genoa fans - any word on where the whole tailgate caravan will actually be setting up? Although if last year's party was any indication, I should be able to hear it from a half-mile away!

Should be a great time - can't wait!

Early in the first season of the Vicars era - Coach Speiss asked some of the players why their parents and fans were so quiet - "Tell them to make some noise!" he says...

Just a thought - two years ago when we beat OG in the Regional finals, they actually made a brief mention of it on ESPN Sports Center overnight edition. May want to set your TIVO just in case. It made a pretty cool little addition to the highlight film for that game...

Sports Time Ohio will have a 3:30 special on tomorrow previewing all of the playoff games.

Their comment from last weeks Orrville win over Elyria Catholic...."Disappointed in EC, I thought they would go much further." HA!

Absolutely! I was watching All Bets Are Off with Bruce Drennan and he had Mike Cairns on the show talking about all the games from last week, and that is what Mike said about our game.

Hopefully we get a little better coverage for this matchup. Maybe even pronounce the names right!

It's amazing the instant credibility that comes with being on TV. Cairns is just a talking head. Knows nothing outside of Cuyahoga county in terms of football...but brings forth his "expertise" on every team in Ohio.

We got the snub again from the Beacon Journal. No coverage at all in their weekly video picks. I think they've just decided that Wayne County doesn't exist.

who cares really......they are as far from sports guys as you could imagine. We sit down here a stone throw away with 21 years of play off football and they still call us the Red Raiders! jerks! I'd rather have no coverage at all from them. You could say the same for the ABJ! we get better coverage in Mansfield than in Akron.

Add them to the list of Orrville haters.

I wasn't calling them experts on STO, but they could atleast say something positive of how we shut down that passing attack.

The last Thing the ABJ wrote about Orrville was that special they ran on Tim Hiller. That was 5 years ago.

Like 5knots said, who cares. We have the RedRiderSportsBlog to get us noticed Haha you do a great job RR1!
