I know your thoughts on Mooney, and the Mooney way. You've whined about it plenty of times on here. The bottom line, Mooney has never done anything illegal. And your jealousy is actually kind of pathetic at this point.

So....You are so concerned with how your team will do in the second round of the playoffs, you won't open this thread to comment on YOUR teams accomplishments on this subject....But you WILL open it up to type, "YAWN"?

Next, you say bragging about these things is, "stupid", yet in post #13 you do just that.

As far as this thread getting stupid, you may be correct, but it didn't get that way until about post #6, coincidently, when you arrived.

Finally, you say Mooney has never done anything illegal, I honestly didn't know that, thank you for telling me, here all this time I thought they had, and here all I had to do was ask you. Seriously though, are you people THAT stupid? How many times do I have to say this? Ok, here it goes....one last time....As I've preached on here MANY times, it's more of a 'the limits the OHSAA allows the Parochials to go to'. What ever those limits are, (I don't know every and all of them, and I've never claimed to), certain schools like most of the DI parochs, Mooney, Ursuline, St V, have taken full advantage of.

Was listening to Howard Chizic (sp) on WNIR out of Akron yesterday, he has a large following from the Y'town area, his show yesterday spent more than a little time on this very subject, concerning Mooney & Ursuline, sounds like my public school brethren out of Y'town have either been buying into ole skanks "Parochial Advantage" theory....FINALLY speaking up.

NOW, why don't we allow this thread to be used for what it was intended for, either elaborate on your schools accomplishments on this subject, or just go away.

YAWN, sorry, gotta go now.

Only posted the SI crap because you felt the need to say that my high school never had anyone.

Now I'll let you guys continue to look forward to 2011...I'm going to look forward to my team's playoff game for tonight.

Getting back to the original topic, no one mentioned the fine article about Big Red in a Sept. 2007 issue of SI. It was actually part of a Toyota ad and was in conjunction with a spot NBC did on Big Red at a Sunday night pro football game.

The is no problem with the thread. If you want to toot your own horn about crap because your season is done...that's fine. You are more than welcome to do that.

But don't get your panties all bunched up when people make fun of you for it because these threads would not be here if Steubenville were still in the playoffs. And you wouldn't be so quick to stick up for them if your boys were still in the playoffs.

Don't be shocked when people think you look stupid for trying to call attention to yourself after your teams got knocked out of the playoffs in the first week.

Again....There is no problem if you just scroll on by the thread title, Right? I mean honestly, you look like more of a goof for responding then he does for starting the thread.

The front page is also dominated by threads like 'Ways to entertain yourself in Steubenville between November and August', which to me, is WAY worse than some guy pimping his team because he's proud of what they've done in the past. Sherm didn't seem too "tired" to put some thought into his post on THAT thread, now did he?

Well When Bases loaded opened up a big Red thread ..and all our haters chimed in I thought it necisary to spin a positive about our school I meant nothing other than to talk about who else might have been on the cover ...I was just interested in other peoples inputs ..I had no agenda really

In all honesty I dont even give a crap I dont know who your team is....I really am just chewing the fat on this topic ..Id actually like to hear from places like Massillon and Canton and or other places that might have a story to tell ... trivia interests me ... and bugging you guys that hates our team is an added bonus so thank you ....

It kinda stunk but thats life.... We get a little spoiled down here ..Maybe our guys will get a little more hungry next year ..I sure though we had a better team than what we ended up with ill tell you that ....but hey I love football and I had all those college games and still pro games to watch so im ok

I opened up other threads which I thought were atleast interesting topics ,because that bases loaded guy delibertly open up a rock throwing thread on us right after they beat us ........ Fine ...He gets the spoils ..But How you guys respond to intellegent topics is up to you ..If you want to come on a thread that has a specific topic and still throw mud then go right ahead ... I am not a hater ... we got a pretty full trophy case that i am very proud of ..so go out and get some bragging rights yourself ...

What's wrong with the thread? Nothing really. But when 30 threads are started about 'Look how bad ass Steuby is' just b/c someone made 1 thread about Big Red getting beat is just retarded. Again, just my opinion. It that's not the intent..then my apologies to Thin...but it sure appears that way.

Using the word retarded isnt very smart is it ...You can spin things the way you want ..Most of my topics are I think good trivia topics ,or debatable topics... This SI topic I think is interesting to me . No hidden agenda on this thread . I like to hear things about other Ohio schools ,I find alot of interesting things out ...It doesnt hurt my feelings when somebody brags up theyre town or school ..I say cool ..:)
