I don't think anyone is questioning him this time around.

I actually think he's done. His ankle is hanging on harder than Stallone in cliffhanger.

He is done playing, but he will somehow own the media for another 4 or 5 seasons.

I find his whole situation rather sad. I was a big fan of him growing up in the mid 90s. Now I just view him as an attention whoring douche. Great player, yes....one of the goats...... but a HUGE tool.

I want him to retire, but I'm dreading the massive increase of wrangler commercials that will flood every channel on television.

He just won't go away.

Maybe he'll get a new endorsement deal with extenze... with before and after shots of his crotch in wranglers... THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES!

Who plays football in jeans? Even if they are real...comfortable.

Agree with the above. Favre is done. Childress has effectively killled the Vikings, and Favre is too old to start over.

I think Brett used your second sentence to describe his member to the Florida State girl!

I think he is done, but he still loves the game. He's just having a tough time this year. I thought I heard his ankle is never going to fully recover. There will be no more surgeries and there will be no more seeing how the ankle holds up. There is probably a small chance the ankle feels really good in July and he might come back for one more year. And if a contender should lose it's QB for the year early on Favre might be getting a phone call.

That said, I don't think anyone, including MIN, are going to be all that excited to have Brett Favre throwing picks for them next year.

Uh huh, I'll believe it when an entire season is over and he hasn't taken a snap.

Yep....Even if he does actually, for once, walk away you just know someone will go down on a contender and they'll say "hmmm, Brett Favre is probably a lot better than our backup"

Brett needs to go. He's more than proven that he can still play at a high level but the drama is too much. The latest episodes involving the "inappropriate correspondence" suggest to me that he is a little bit afraid that perhaps he is losing more than the ability to play football. Brett had the respect and admiration of millions for years but he seems bound and determined to take that formerly pristine reputation and trash it. It's really kind of sad. Thanks for great football moments that you provided us throughout your long and illustrious career. Now go on home and play some good old fashioned backyard football with your friends. (While you still have some.)

I agree with pretty much everything you said, but I doubt this incident was anything new. Bret, like most of these guys, likely has had a girl on the side his entire career. I'm not trying to defend Brett, but I doubt this whole incident with her was just a random old guy sending some innocent girl an inappropriate text. The two were likely having an affair, Brett ended it and she got even.

Like I said, I agree with everything else you said.

The bad thing is even with his age/health he could still start for 10 teams next year and be an upgrade.
