with 16 juniors returning next year, 12 of which started one game or another this year, and three sophs who saw ample playing time, i personally look for another playoff season. any thoughts?

:) Doesn't sound bad. Glad to see Beallsville and SJC back. Except for the points we never should have stopped playing them. Now if we could only get River back..........hmmm?

Disappointed that no longer a game with Ridgewood. Instead they now have to play a hopeless Buckeye Trail squad.

the last i heard was that week ten was between wheeling central and scc. i quess wheeling central really wants our series to continue and is pressing the issue. from what i understand coach holenka wants scc on our schedule. i guess time will tell. also heard that talks were still on with ridgewood week three.

^^^^^good point. maybe since we lost 6 games they think its their best oppertunity. with all we have returning they may have misjudged by a couple years. also, with the smelley bros returning and thinking bulldogs loaded for bear 2010, it was time for them to bail out. also lots of pressure from both fans to renew st johns, shadyside series.

That would be a very stupid reason 2 get back on the schedule with you ,SHADYSIDE plays a tough schedule.

How firm is this? Maybe Shadyside and GCC can hook up. Both teams lose some key players but have some fine young talent stepping in. It Would be a great game.

Shadyside should be good next year. Returning a ton and didn't the beat a Columbiana team in Columbiana week 11 this year? That is hard to do.

i think everybody is glad to see beallsville back on the schedule. two very good small school programs with good gates. weeks 3 and 10 still up in the air. yes we beat columbiana up there week 11. solid group returning wth several all-district and a couple all-state. only sore spot we need to replace kimble. i think there are a couple of underclassmen ready to step in.

no, schuetz is a senior. him along with kimble, cline, emery and t. brown made all state special mention. silverio, e. brown, sedinger, hudson, duncan, kritz along with the above mentioned made all district. t. brown(te/de/k), silverio(ol/dl), e. brown(wr/db), sedinger(rb/de), hudson(te/lb) and duncan(ol/dl) all return.

Both of our teams need to keep a close eye on Rosecrans. They have 6 playoiff qualifiers on their schedule with a team that will basically have no seniors on their roster. They are either going to be very dangerous or 4-6.

agreed. in the past though, for some reason or another, they have lost some of their quality players to other school districts. not sure if they continue to have this problem.

Are we 100% positive that there is no chance Shadyside and GCC will play this year?

no. week three is still an option. coach holenka has final say but as of right now grove city christian, ridgewood, wheeling central and linsly all possibilties week three. not sure for reason but coach holenka wants to wait after ohsaa coaches meeting in february before making final decision.
