I will eat crow, I said, Cavs will not win more than 25 games, but no, Cavs will not only make the playoffs, but they will BEAT THE HEAT, and you can take that to the bank!

The Heat looked far from invincible tonight. Where did Lebron go in the fourth quarter? At home, up 19 in the second half and throw the game away when a 2-20 three point shooter goes wild and the Heat lose another one and are now 5-3. I guess they won't be undefeated for the season afterall.
I realize all of this is still probably meaningless but it certainly is fun while it lasts. Have the Lakers lost yet? Apparently there are some NBA teams who aren't quite ready to give the title to the Heat without at least playing the games.

The Cavs have 26 wins already?
Does this have the potential for another epic fail Cavs fan thread at the end of the season??

I'm still wondering what happened to that terrible elbow injury (the one that was so bad he couldn't even shoot a free throw right handed). The injury seemed to just disappear after he quit in the playoffs.

nah...just think, we are 4-3 with our key players missing some games.Mo who's missed like 3 games, Jamison has missed atleast 3, and Varajeo has missed one. This team will be fine and play inspired ball all season.

What I dont get is that bullshit power rankings I seen on ESPN's front page last night that had the Heat #1

The Cavs have been pretty impressive early on. It's a long season, but I do think the Cavs are in contention for a playoff spot at the end of the season. As for the Heat, I'm not really that surprised. It will take them time to learn how to play with each other and to define roles.

IF the Cavs could keep up their current pace they'd win around 47 games.

I thought that they would be 42-40 prior to the season starting. I see that they are in first place today.

I had the Cavs at between 30-35 wins. I think I'm going to withhold judgment until I see a stretch against tougher opponents, but it's looking like I may have undersold them thus far.

Yeah, quality wins over washington/new jersey/philly...all very talented teams....they have 1 decent win over boston, who was coming off an Huge game against a team far better than the cavs....Miami....

Cavs fans better hope they only play the scum of the east all year if they want 25+ wins....

That'd be nice but I just dont see it happening. I am thinking 35 games is about right for this team.

Haven't looked at their schedule but I think the Cavs can play .500 or better as long as they don't have a stretch of games against tough opponents in a short period of time. If so then the Cavs can be rested and bring the energy they brought against the Celtics vs. the better teams in the NBA. Then as long as they take care of business against the rest of the league I think they could get 42-45 wins.

All I can really take from the season so far is that the Cavs are fun to watch with their energy and enthusiasm. I can see them getting a low seed for the playoffs if they can maintain that for the rest of the year and avoid serious injuries. They don't have the talent to compete with the better teams on a consistent basis, but if they can continue doing what they've been doing recently (beating the poor-to-mediocre teams on their schedule), they could rack up enough wins to be the #7-8 seed.

And he didn't mention that his alumni high school basketball team would beat the Cavs. There's a lot wrong with his posts on this thread for them to be legitimately DDB.

Yeah, I couldn't believe your shit Sleeper. Way to man up tho. I'm still waiting for money bags Big Apple Buckeye to show....who spewed the same horse shit about the Cavs.

People need to listen up. The Cavs won 65 plus games the last 2 because of a team, not one guy.

As I boldly stated....... 45 wins plus for this team. I've already taken that to the bank.
