Cleveland logic at its finest. Only in Cleveland do fans talk shit when their team is 3-6......you can't get any dumber than that. Pushin' for the playoffs!! lolol

Pittsburgh's O-line really concerns me. They MUST run the ball to be successful and they couldn't open up anything last night.

Lol at the "fan" of a team with a multiple game losing streak trying to talk shit.

Lol shitsburgh just gave up 39 pts AT home to a team that could barely score 14 against the Browns.

We're not proud of our 3-6 record, we're proud of our team right now.

With this team (those 3 words being the key words), we went into New Orleans and stomped the Saints, then beat the hell out of the Patriots.

Obviously, the record doesn't say how good this team is...but that's because we had Jerome Harrison and Seneca Wallace and Jake Delhomme and UGH. Now we have McCoy (solid), Hillis (top 5 RB), and a quickly improving, sky is the limit defense.

The Browns right now are a scary team...there is no denying that.

I haven't read through all of this thread, so not sure if this has been covered....what exactly did Reed shoot off at the mouth about?

He did blame the turf on him missing a 26-yard field goal. As opposed to me jumping off my couch, flipping him the double bird and screaming "smoke a cock you fucking metrosexual bitch cocksucker!!!!" And, yes, now that I'm sober, I do realize that using "smoke a cock" and "cocksucker" in one rant is a bit redundant.

yeah, "cock" being used twice in one sentence makes me wonder what you do in your spare time?

Mainly work on reinforcing the holding cells in my place's unused room. On an unrelated topic, what would say is the MINIMAL amount of space you could exist in? Not be comfortable in, but simply live in.

What? The Steelers are on a 1-game skid. Where are you getting this multiple game losing streak stuff from?

S&L-Disagree and here's why. The Browns' strength offensively is the Steelers' defensive specialty. Although Green-Ellis managed 87 yards on the ground last night.....I don't know when the last time a player ran for 100 yards against the Steelers. The Browns would not be able to run the ball effectively against the Steelers so if they played today....I'm taking the Steelers to win and that's why.

Hillis managed 90 yards of total offense against the Steelers, and that was him playing about 50%.

He put up 86 yards and a score against the Jets' defense, I see no reason he couldn't put up 86 yards and a score against the Steelers' defense?

According to KDKA and ESPN, the Steelers are bringing in kickers tomorrow and are considering cutting Reed now.

I know I'm living in a dream world but can we have a thread where we actually can discuss issues regarding our teams without trolls shitting all over them? This goes for both Steelers and Browns threads. It's getting ridiculous.

Probably not. I would love to see Reed gone even as a Browns fan, just think that POS doesn't deserve to be in the NFL.

I'm not going to say Cleveland is better than Pittsburgh...but you know as well as everyone else, this is not the same team that played Pittsburgh the first time around.

Are you saying that because of Hillis being healthier or McCoy having more time to get comfortable, since personnel-wise, they seem to mainly be the same team? It was just McCoy's first start and, from what I've heard here at least, Hillis was banged-up.

Don't forget the defense. They are really starting to come around and you can see some of those core players stepping up.

I'm telling you..this browns team is dangerous.

Both. Hillis is healthy and McCoy has some experience under his belt. Like you said, that was only his first game, and he still performed decently. I'd imagine he will play much better the second time around. Plus, McCoy has now experienced the awesomeness of Ben Watson, so he will get him the ball more.

He could do that, but I doubt it would be enough to win the game. They would need McCoy to do more than just manage the game to have a shot. Basically, the Browns main offensive weapon isn't going to run wild against the Steelers defense and I don't think you can put it in McCoy's hands to win the game. At least not this season.

Id think without some ST or defensive plays the Browns would keep it close right now but probably lose.

Now, if they got some big returns/turnovers/or even TDs out of their ST and defense it could be another story. Cleveland is good enough right now to really compete with anyone, but dont quite have the weapons to pull out victories consistently without some big plays from the units not called offense.

Then again the left side of the Steeler offense could struggle mightily rendering Colt's effectiveness null and void ;)

Agreed. The good thing is, this season, the Steelers ST coverage isn't trash like it was the last couple years.

If they can do it against the Pats, Saints, and Jets...they can do it against the damn Steelers.

Stop acting like the Steelers are unstoppable.

I'm not acting like the Steelers are unstoppable. That's ridiculous for you to even twist what I'm saying into that. I simply said that your offensive strength will be going up against the Steelers defensive specialty and I have backed that up with facts. The Steelers just now gave up 75+ rushing yards to a RB 9 games into the season. NOT one single player gained 75 or more rushing yards against them in the first 8 games.....an NFL record.

If the Steelers can contain Chris Johnson.....they can do it against Hillis (again). That has nothing to do with the Steelers being unstoppable. They're not and I never said they were. I'm just using logic and facts here. You're just getting pissy and putting words in my mouth.

Are there any other Browns fans or fans in general who think I'm way off base here? If so, please let me know. I don't think I'm pumping the Steelers up into something they're not. I'm simply stating what they are and what they've done. With all due respect, I think some Browns fans are getting too caught up in comparing scores. Last year ND beat Purdue and Purdue beat Ohio State. Was Notre Dame better than OSU because of that? Fuck no. Not saying that this is what S&L is doing, but a few others are. That's not rational IMO.

...with that (again, not you, but other Steeler fans) Steeler fans are pointing out the 28-10 first game score which imo also isnt rational if youve paid any attention to how the team has progressed since that game.

I understand both ewok and s&l here. When two fan bases despise one another's team as much as we all admittedly do it's extremely easy to read between the lines, whether using factual information or not. For example ewok, I could and nearly did take umbrage yesterday when following the final TD by the Jets, you were oh so quick to point out that it was "an ex-Steeler" in Holmes who killed the Browns. As much and as simple a fact as it is (he's an ex Buckeye anyway...pft) it rubbed me the wrong way. Not much, cuz I can take it, but I think you get my point.
