Probably did more rearranging this week than in recent weeks, based on some trends.

1. Baltimore 6-2 (4)...This hasn't been a great spot to be in and the Ravens face a difficult road challenge Thursday at Atlanta.
2. N.Y. Giants 6-2 (5)...They certainly are passing the eyeball test, resembling the Super Bowl team of a few years ago.
3. Green Bay 6-3 (10)...Despite some early losses, the Packers are starting to look like a Super Bowl contender again. Great quarterback and a defense that flies around and makes plays.
4. N.Y. Jets 6-2 (3)
5. Pittsburgh 6-2 (6)
6. New England 6-2 (1)
7. Atlanta 6-2 (7)
8. New Orleans 6-3 (9)

9. Tennessee 5-3 (8)
10. Philadelphia 5-3 (14)
11. Indianapolis 5-3 (2)
...These three teams are basically tied. Seems like a big drop for Indy after losing a close game on the road. Tough call where to place them right now.

12. Kansas City 5-3 (11)
13. Oakland 5-4 (15)

14. San Diego 4-5 (21)
15. Cleveland 3-5 (24)
16. Tampa Bay 5-3 (16)
17. Houston 4-4 (13)
18. Miami 4-4 (12)
19. Minnesota 3-5 (19)
20. Washington 4-4 (17)
21. Chicago 5-3 (18)
...This is probably the toughest pack of teams to rank. I went out on a limb a little bit in regards to Cleveland and San Diego moving up a lot. Also, Washington slid down despite not playing and Chicago moved down three spots despite winning against Buffalo. That's the nature of it, though, when other teams move up ahead.

22. St. Louis 4-4 (22)
23. Jacksonville 4-4 (23)
24. Seattle 4-4 (20)
25. Arizona 3-5 (25)
26. Cincinnati 2-6 (26)
27. Detroit 2-6 (27)
28. San Francisco 2-6 (28)
29. Denver 2-6 (29)
30. Dallas 1-7 (30)
31. Carolina 1-7 (31)
32. Buffalo 0-8 (32)

Dallas needs to be last.

Buffalo is competitive and in almost every game.

Dallas hasn't been in a game since their win.

GB is a top ten team but I do agree 3 may be a little high other than that it looks good.

Pitt should be above Green Bay, but other than them I don't know who else? Green Bay hasn't looked great, but they are still 6-3. They will continue to win games and be up at the top with the Giants in the NFC.

I know Dallas stinks but Green Bay also shut down the Jets, 9-0, the week prior.

I think they're a better team than the Jets, Steelers or Patriots right now.

Defense is just as good, if not better, and Rodgers is playing well leading the offense.

Cleveland is a better team than they were in the first game. They would beat Tampa if they played again.

Power rankings are based on how teams are playing at the moment.

GB too high, Indy too low. Atlanta to low.

In fact Id be inclined to switch GB an Atlanta.

I agree 11 is too low for Indy. They are in the top 10 somewhere.

With the way this year's gone, it's about impossible to make rankings. Seems like every time you think a team is looking elite, they get beat. Last week, both Pittsburgh and the Jets lost. This week, New England got beat. Halfway through the season and no one looks like a Super Bowl favorite. There's a bunch of teams that COULD be one, but no one's separating from the pack of good teams.

Even though I dislike Baltimore, I think they're kind of underrated this year by the national media.

For whatever reason, the Steelers are getting a lot more love when people pick the best teams and so forth.

They're pretty close in a lot of ways and the Ravens win head-to-head gives them the tiebreaker edge for now and I think it gives them the slight power ranking edge.

Baltimore is definitely getting a lack of respect from the media. I hear a lot of people throwing their name in the race but they never want to discuss them yet they will talk about the 1-7 Cowboys all day. Pittsburgh is obviously in the discussion. They get a lot of press but I do think most of it is warranted. They are more of what I would call a glory team of the league. The Ravens only have one Super Bowl under their belt so they get less press. That is my take on the situation.

They have been in other years. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Flacco the past couple years.

But this season not so much. They've been overlooked a little bit.

The division race is going to be really tough and important in the AFC North.

Whatever team wins the division could be the No. 1 or No. 2 seed but then the second place team could have a good record but be a No. 5 or No. 6 and have to win three road games. That's a huge difference in Super Bowl chances.

I know it's been done in the past, by Pittsburgh actually, but I don't think it's going to happen this year. The byes are going to be critical.

As it relates to these rankings, I can't put the Steelers ahead of the Ravens when right now, if the season ended, they would lose the tiebreaker and be a wild card team.

Dallas was competitive and could have won a couple of those games since their win. They have been extremely uncompetitive and awful in the games Romo hasn't started.
