I am sure nobody will agree with this team, but I have seen every team this year, more than once.
This is assuming everybody is healthy!! A lot of the guys on my team have been hurt throughout the year and I am going on when I saw them 100%, which they would be during a spring all-star game.

QB Brandon Bauman - Rittman (Carmichael - Triway)
RB Tre Simpson - Orrville (Blevins - Dalton)
FB Badertscher - Hillsdale (Mackey -WH)
WR1 Turberville - Rittman (Miller-Tuslaw)
WR2 Polen-Triway (Moore-Hillsdale)
TE Zeek- Dalton (Schickler - Chippewa)
OLINE Whitcomb, Douglass, Ebert, Reusser, Mullins (I am sorry OLine, I really don't know much more than your numbers.)

DLINE Wiley- Smithville (Hilty-Smithville)
NG Busson - Chippewa (Northwestern's NG, don't know his name)
DLINE Ressler - Tuslaw (Give me any one of Hillsdale's DLINEmen)
OLB Max Pirman - Orrville ( O'Rourke - Cloverleaf)
MLB Mason Monheim - Orrville (Kassa - Norwayne)
MLB Casey Neer - Northwestern ( Hilty - Smithville)
OLB Wallace - Norwayne (Zimmerly - Norwayne)
SS Raff-Dalton (Hackett - Dalton)
FS Fulk - Hillsdale (Nolletti-Northwestern)
CB Bates - Smithville (McKean - Northwestern)
CB Turner- Orrville (Simpson-Orrville)

K Schaefer - Northwestern
P Hackett - Dalton
KR Turner, Bauman, Bates
PR Turner, Lint

Coaches, I actually would let Williams from Hillsdale be the head coach, with Held/Lee/Davault running the offense and Schrock/Harbour/Billinger on the defense. Zuercher, Bescanson and Haas can take special teams.

Obviously I played nobody both ways. It is crazy to think that Wallace, Turner, Bates, and Fulk all aren't on offense. Those that have seem them play at full strength know that they can take it to the house on every play. If it was a true all-star game I would probably be making sure that they are rotating in and getting their touches on offense, Wallace as a wildcat quarterback, Turner and Bates at recievers, Fulk as a scatback as well as Monheim at fullback. Bauman, Batertscher, Douglass, and Whitcomb all could play on the defensive side of the ball and we would have no problem. I love Miller from Tuslaw, but stopped following him after the first few weeks of the season, Pit how did he end up doing this year? I am sure the biggeset controversy is Bauman starting at quarterback. I understand everybody loves Derek, as do I! I would just start Bauman, and if he wasn't at quarterback he would be playing outside backer for me. He was first in the league in passing, second in rushing, and third in tackles this season! What a stud!I was at the Orrville-Triway game Friday and have also coached Mr. Turner in the past, let's just say he is returning kicks and punts and it didn't take my thought picking him. Schaefer or Waynedale's kicker could kick for us and I like Hackett as the punter.

Once again, this is if everybody is healthy and nobody plays both ways! I have seen all of these guys struggle at some point this year, and many missed time so it is not a season all-star award team. It is who I would take at full-strength going to play a youngstown school. The only teams I haven't seen more than once this year in full-game action are Cloverleaf and West Holmes.

^^ It was great seeing a Chippewa and Smithville kid on your team. I haven't seen either of those teams so, without much success this year, haven't heard much about them, either. Thanks for the list. It was a very good one, IMO! I didn't even think about K/P or KR/PR. I think Norwayne had a good kicker, as well.

Pit, there are some studs from the Wayne County League that you need on your team at flex positions. No Wallace, Badertscher, Bates, Hackett, Zimmerly brothers? Pressure is on my friend haha, we have to win when we have the chance!

Just saying, theres some ball players outside your Red and White bi-focals. ;)
I am well aware of the ball players in our area and there are some real good ones for sure! I just enjoy seeing how WCAL fans respond when Rider fans talk a little talk!

I totally agree. If we were planning for a true all-star game, as you said, we'd have a full roster for different formations. But if I was choosing a Pro formation with a tight end, 2 WR, RB, and FB, then I'm not going to have a wildcat-type back. Instead, I'd go with a throwing QB like Carmichael or Bauman. Admittedly, Bates was probably an oversight at CB. No Duke Price on your list? Or is he over-hyped? I have not seen him play except for a 7-on-7, and all his high school teammates worshiping him at Applebees on Friday nights after the game. Haha.

Haha if we run the option I need to flip flop my coordinators around!

We probably can have more than one back up at each reciever position. I honestly forgot about Price. With that being said, I am happy with the recievers I have! Ryan Moore not starting is crazy.

If we're running the triple option, here is my backfield:
QB - Wallace, Norwayne
FB - Mackey, West Holmes (or Monheim if we can start them both ways)
Slot1 - Blevins, Dalton
Slot2 - Anderson, Wooster (or Simpson)

Then for WR's to stretch the field, how about Turner (Orrville) and Tuberville (Rittman)?

Mr. Russell you are well versed in the county.....more so than me. My only critique with your very well put together post is this......To have a Defense that includes any LB's at all and not have Coach Jason Haley from Orrville on that staff is a big no no. Otherwise...great job.

that would be sweet although personally i would put hackett there - wallace will run you over, hackett will make you wonder where the ball is, then go around you. But hey, we are just splitting hairs.

5knots, I agree with you. There are plenty of assistants I would take anyday, that I just didn't mention because in all of the all-star games I heard off, just head coaches were on the staffs. Haley for linebackers, Slaughter for quarterbacks, Marshall from Cloverleaf is a great reciever coach, plenty of former head coaches that are now assistants in the wayne county league also.

Pitman, I'm like others...............I don't know much about the other teams to make an all-star team of Wayne County. BUT, just out of curiousity, why does your thread title say "Daily Record" in it?

I agree, I would start Bauman he just makes things happen. Give him some blocking who knows what he could do.

Better yet, Have City vs. County......... Orrville and Wooster against all.... Anderson and Simpson in backfield (offset I, Pro-set?) Brenner, Turner and Price at Wide-outs.. Try stopping that!

I really like that City Vs. County, or is Country lol, idea. Might be tough to get sponsorship for the game and how many kids would actually play though. The old A.S. game they used to have with Medina fizzled out I heard. Lot of good qbs in Daily Record coverage area that article Sunday talked about. How do you pick from all them for papers Allstars.
