Ohio St isn't the 9th best team in the country.

I think Bama is getting too much love for a 2 loss team....and could be a 3 loss team if it wasn't for an epic choke.

This year I kind of hope that Oregon, and Auburn just win out. That way we can watch a 70-65 score in the national championship game.

Kinda surprised that LSU jumped up 5 spots and is the top ranked 1 loss team. Big drop from them to Stanford also. With it being the end of the year, I wonder what would happen if AUB loses to Bama......will LSU jump them? That would be ridiculous. The BCS is a joke, IMO

When Auburn loses to Alabama, they will fall to #3, then jump back up to #2 after beating whatever scrub team the SEC East sends to the title game.

Sad, but probably true.

I doubt if they only drop one spot. Just look at previous weeks. They would probably jump back up after a SEC title game though, but I doubt it if they jump TCU.

They would fall to around #4-5 in the polls, but would still be #3 in the BCS because of the computers. Voters believe the SEC champion has a tie-in to the BCS National Championship Game, so they will get back up there, especially after TCU wraps up their season with a 1-11 New Mexico team around that same time.

When you get to the last few weeks of the season the computers are pretty spot on, the variations come from voters who are less/more forgiving depending on how the wind is blowing. The SEC as of late.
Just one of the balances/checks I like about the BCS

I would assume they would be ahead of LSU, since they did beat LSU and that would avoid an odd scenario of a possible LSU in the title game without winning the conference. All assuming all win out and Auburn loses just once.
OSU at 9 is fine, but Wisconsin at 7 means it will be near impossible for OSU to jump them. Meaning, if OSU wins out, the debate begins on whether they deserve an at-large over say Boise or Stanford.

Alabama is a joke, they've beaten NO ONE and have 2 freaking losses, one to South Carolina of all schools.
Another week, another SEC joke being told.

Boise and Stanford would both deserve the bid over OSU

I predict one of the Big 12 teams (Nebraska or Okie Light) will make the biggest leap towards the top when it's all said and done.
Nebraska still has games @ Texas A&M, which should be a top 20 team by then, and will play in the B12 title game against either Okie Light (could be top 10) or Oklahoma (could be top 10-15). I don't see Oregon losing, but Auburn/LSU/Bama could cannibalize each other in the SEC. Wisconsin is hurt by having no teams worth noting left and no conference title game. Same with Stanford.
I wouldn't be shocked if Nebraska or Oklahoma State wins the Big 12 title game and comes up with a higher ranking than TCU or Boise St. for the #2 spot.

There is no debate. If Wisconsin gets the Rose Bowl bid and Ohio State is 11-1, they will be picked over Boise and Stanford every single time.

Wiscy has IU, UM and NW
OSU has Penn St, Iowa and UM
I think they both win out OSU pulls ahead honestly, at least in the computer portion. Winning convincingly wouldn't hurt to improve the poll portion either.

But, head to head matters in my mind. If both win out, Wisconsin should go to the Rose Bowl since they beat OSU. Otherwise, it is one more example of how shitty the BCS is.

So you would be ok with an undeserving Ohio State getting a bid over an undefeated Boise State?

An 11-1 Ohio State would be more deserving than an undefeated Boise State.

Oh if they both win out Wiscy is Rose bowl bound by virtue of hth, but OSU might sneak in as an at large...well they will, too much money not to bring them in.
Actually, there's been much speculation that Boise will be left out.

Wrong, Going unbeaten is so hard these days, and with a win of ACC possible champ VT, Boise would be more deserving.

No...they would not be
An undefeated should always get in over a one-loss team
This arguement will be moot in about 2 weeks anyway

The BCS doesn't care who plays in the Rose Bowl or Sugar Bowl. They pick a #1 and a #2 to play for the national championship. They have to allow these bowls to pick the teams they want for these other bowls so they can make money, otherwise, why would they participate in the BCS?
