Austin Collie knocked out by two Eagles

just a tad bit of helmet contact I'd say

And it was a catch, not incomplete.


How in the hell can you be called "defenseless" if you POSSESS the ball.

Definitely a terrible call. Collie was defending himself, therefore he can not be a defenseless receiver. Both defenders went in with their shoulders. It was just a shame that he ended up hitting a piece of the defender's helmet AFTER he was already hit by the first defender.

Sad to see the injury, but that was a terrible call.

Terrible, terrible call by the officials. That was a catch and a fumble. You can't be a defenseless receiver once you've caught the ball, turned, lowered your shoulders and taken a step or two. It's unfortunate that Collie was injured on the play but good lord that was terrible officiating.

I think Goodell has them looking for a reason to flag the defense on every single play.

I don't think you can review whether it was a helmet hit.

Because it was a helmet hit they wouldn't get the ball even if it was a catch and fumble.

Once a reciever catches and runs you can hit him anyway you want.

Yes he was. It was a bullshit call, hopefully Collie is ok which it seemed like the Colts' trainers where gesturing that he could move his extremities. Hopefully also Coleman isn't fined or anything either.

I haven't had a problem with too many of the fines, but if either Eagles player gets fined, it's a shame. It took just one Sunday for Goodell to make this new policy, I wonder if it takes a player like today for Goodell to reconsider things and not have the refs so flag happy.

Ill say this, because I think it was a terrible call. But the Eagles benefited from a terrible call when Jackson went down. Kind of weird this happened against them.
