What a great year for the team that rises to the top in Region 11. Look at the quality of all 8 teams that 'made it'.

The ECOL was so weak this year that all of our regular season wins but Canfield were blowouts! Both our loses were very good games that could easily have ended with Dover on top. That what I like to see...a good game that hopefully my team wins!

I really looked forward to the challenge of seeing Big Red right up front, and what a thrill to beat them in their own house.
Now we get to face a great Sheridan team and if we best them see the likes of Marlington or LV! What a pathway to the final four. It just doesn't get any better than this! Win or lose - what a ride!

Having just played Sheridan, I am picking them to win this game. They have the horses, the coaching, and toughness necessary to get the job done. In fact, it might not even be close.

Great matchup between two solid teams. I'm expecting one heck of a game!
Good luck to both!

And it could have been 21-13 B.R. at the half except for our turnover-see that game is played by a loser like yourself. I do not get on here and brag up B.R., so I have no need to start thread 2011.
Don't do me any favors; you are a detriment to Dover and their good fans. Just so you do not have to look it up, detriment- noun- meaning: damage.
Cheers

Nice post Crimson. Winning the region this year will be special. I give Dover the best of wishes in their coming game.
Cheers.

I am confused why you are so pissed over a statement about a hypothetical situation. I also can't figure out why you are wasting space talking about a team that is no longer playing on a thread about two teams that are playing. You're a crybaby asshole -synonym - super787

And my scoring prediction doesn't even mention the fact that if your QB doesn't pick up his fumbled snap on 4th and 1 on your own 30. Then its 20-0 Dover and then my score gets realllly crazy.

I'm just hoping Dover can hang with Sheridan. Hopefully they won't be embarrassed.

The Sheridan folk have pointed to the Cambridge game as quite possibly the worst they've played all season, FWIW.

I think the Generals will win, but 3 scores is probably a bit extreme. I'm thinking something like 31-21 or so.

Cambridge game was easily the worst game Sheridan has played all year. Fumbled 4 punts in the first half (dropped three and caught one ran a step and dropped it, they picked it up and ran it in. Just played terrible that game. I expect Saturday will be a very good football game.

You say two scores. I say three scores. I am not associated with Sheridan, just calling it like I see it.

Sheridan's defense is awesome. They will shut down Dover and then control the ball with their running game. Sheridan by 14 or more.

Another thing that impressed me about Sheridan was their special teams play. They are down there on coverage on punts and kickoffs with little or no chance for a return so you're always playing on a long field.

TheQ, thanks for your support but have you seen Dover's offense? Shutting down Dover's offense is not going to happen, no matter who they play, the goal is to contain it. I know this is a different year and different players but look at how Sheridan beat Dover in 2003. Dover got their yards between the 20's but when the field got compressed it becomes much easier to cover the 5-wide spread attack. This forced Dover to try and run the ball and this played right into the Generals hand. Sheridan sacked Lisowski (sp) more times in that game than I think they had seen in 3 tapes; that and #8 had three picks and took one back 80 yds to the house. Its simple though but hard to do: don't give up the big play, create pressure, and force the QB to make decisions sooner than he would like to which leads to mistakes. Sheridan has to do what they do best and that is run the ball and eat up time.

Talk on the other site is that Dover is the home team for this game based on the OHSAA bracket. Is this the case?
