Were you and sl in south bend at nd's practice when the accident happened?

I said the the thing about Tressel moving practice inside for a few reasons.

1. I thought it was the same day as Sullivan falling.

2. The storm that day was a big system, so several areas in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan were experiencing very similar things.

3. You are STREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETCHING with the Tressel comparison going indoors with a tornado. In you scenario, the coach is taking precautionary measures to make sure his players and staff are safe. Like S&L stated, a roof blowing off isn't foreseeable.

If this weather was foreseeable, i.e. there was a high wind advisory for the South Bend area. I agree we need to see how things pan out. I stated the thing about Tressel because it wouldn't bold well if coaches experiencing the same weather at the same time took safety measures and Kelly didn't. Since it wasn't on the same day, forget about it. I already said I was mistaken.

And just fyi, I'm a Michigan fan, not a Tressel homer trying to make him look like a saint or something.

Did I ever claim to be? No, I'm just going off the details that we know. I'm sorry that things as they are don't seem to positive for Kelly.

Exactly. Why not wait until all details are known before you assume Kelly stood at the foot of the lift and demanded Declan stayed up.

Did I ever say that I assumed that in this whole thread? Nope.

You guys keep trying to put words into my mouth, but it's not working.

All I'm saying that assuming there was a reason to be concerned about dangerously high winds, and Brian Kelly still held practice in spite of having known or should have had known about dangerously high winds and the risk they create. And he decided to have practice anyways, and it is standard procedure to have people up in the lifts unless stated otherwise (and he didn't state otherwise) then there is a good chance that his ass is on the line.

We do know there were extremely high winds, the student in the lift was afraid of the conditions, and Brian Kelly is the head coach who runs practice. To me, that isn't a good start. Unless something comes out about how he said to forgo the video taping for the day and someone else decided to send them up anyways or something to that effect or there is some other mitigating factor that we are currently not aware of, this probably won't end well

You're a moron.

Please explain to me how Kelly was a better choice than any one of them outside of Strong?

Haha, you responded quick. I deleted my post because I decided that I didn't want to engage you in a long discussion (it's better to let you just spout off your non-sense and ignore you).

With that said, I'll let others take it up with you if they want to. But I am not going to engage you in a futile discussion.

Haha, you always think you're right no matter what (e.g. see the Louis C.K. thread). There is no point in even trying to have a discussion with you. If someone else wants to pick up the cause, I hope they have a lot of patience as trying to have a logical discussion with you is worse than trying to play patty cake with Helen Keller... it's an exercise in futility.

Were you involved in the coaching search for Notre Dame? How the fuck do you know who they called and who they didn't. I am pretty sure that Stoops was called and was in some sort of discussions over the job. Why would they talk to Urban Meyer? Wasn't he on his death bed when the search was taking place? Dan Mullen was busy trying to put together duffel bags full of crisp $100 bills for Cam Netwon. In other words, you have zero clue who they talked to and who they didn't. I would be willing to bet you know more about funny comedians than you do anything related to sports, which is saying a lot.

You were wrong when you said Michael Jackson didn't molest young boys, then you ran and hid like a little boy.

Edit: No you didn't, you ran to Neverland and waited outside the gates for him to invite you into his bed with your "brother" Blanket.

I'm not a ND fan but why exactly was Brian Kelly the wrong choice? Hes a young, up and coming coach. I didnt think there was anything wrong with the hire, I actually liked it

What specific knowledge do you have to back up your opinion of him being the wrong choice?

Your boy Dan Mullen went 5-7 in his first year. Charlie Strong is 5-3, 2-2 in the Big East and lost to Pitt, who Kelly beat at Notre Dame.

Mullen is 7-2 is his 2nd season in the toughest conference and Strong took over a team only won 4 games last year and he is putting in a completely new system
