I guess we'll all have to find something else to talk about then since there have already been TWO comments about that. What about the lights? - oh darn! OK, how about the weather - I don't think that subject has been covered yet :)

My point IS that Orrville fans had already made comments about this game, but this guy posts that he will be interested to read the Orrville fan comments without acknowledging that some had already been made. I'm sure there will be more to follow. Get it? (classic case of posting one's "important" comment without looking back, at least a little bit, which is a BRF pet peeve)

No, just saying I'd like to hear what some people from Orrville who know football have to say about this game. Really didn't apply to you.

I was trying to generate more conversation. Thought I'd get some intelligent responses from the likes of Red Rider1 and OrrvilleQB. Didn't expect much out of you two.

Clear Fork will run, run, and run. You have to stop the run first and last. Our defense was very good and we held them for a half , but our offense did not help. Defense was on the field way to long and 2nd half CF wore them down. You have to keep them on defense but their defense is also good enough to stop a good offense so that puts their offense on the field. Lots of backs so you don't know who to go after. They totally dominated our league offensively and look to be better than the Genoa team we saw last year. Can pass when they have to, just don't have to very often. see these league stats http://occsports.org/football/footballstats.html McCune probably only scored 160 points not 1642 total, looks like a typo. :)

Not to mention that most of Orrville's offensive players are also their defensive players...therefore, when the defense is tired, so is the offense!

brf...not all screen names are indicative of what school/town one is from, and the comment's posted do not always reveal that either. And really, so what if they get on your bad side, are there repercussion to endure? LOL!

On D they have to try to stop one of the best rushing attacks in the state...but realistically contain it. Stopping the CF ground machine just won't happen. They need to force a turnover. At least one. ...and not allow a big play.
On O they have to play flawlessly and not turn the ball over. Eat up the clock themselves. Long sustained drives and kick field goals if need be. Every point each team can get in this one is going to be HUGE because they will be at a minimum due to the clock never stopping.
This game is going to be a dandy if those things happen. I don't think either team wins by more than a score.

Not really sure what this is supposed to mean because that wasn't my beef. I will assume it was meant well, not like superman's PM to me last night!

SO, on the game.....I can't think of two play-off teams that match up better against each other. One thing I noticed about the Colts that could be an Achilles Heel is their kicking game. It was suspect. Advantage Genoa on the kicking game.

It just got me thinking how much practice he got on 2nd and/or 3rd downs this year like last year and how it helped him come playoff time... But yoking aside, they DO have the edge in kicking, IMO.

Superman...here are my honest thoughts on this game:

Clear Fork has a running attack that is VERY good (we all know this, not news to anyone). However, what they do that is so impressive with their running attack is feed it to multiple guys, great use of misdirection and their front 7-8 are GOOD! They whipped our tail in the second half and it wasn't anything they did different. They just said "here, see if you can stop this" and when they continue to pound on you and work the clock to keep an offense off the field...thats what has made them tough to beat!

Clear Fork's defense is tough as well. All the stats and wins usually come back on an offense, but their defense is very deserving! (Hell, they shut us out and that hadn't happened at our place for close to 10 years). They will hit you in the mouth and bring you all kinds of looks.

Players to watch:
ALL of them.

Their a very good team and they will be tough for you to beat, but that is based soley on gettingto watch them dismantle my Red Riders. I have not seen Genoa play.

Good Luck to both teams!

The one advantage Genoa has over the Riders going into this game is that they have seen this type offense a few times this year....and heck...they kind of run it also. Now they have not played anyone who has executed like CF, but that doesn't mean they can't stop them. very impressive win last week for Genoa. I'm up in the air now on this one. Wish I could see it. Hope both teams are safe. I think they will enjoy playing each other.
