No way they top six wins without Crist. A bunch of second-teamers won't beat Tulsa, Utah, and Southern Cal without divine intervention. Maybe they get to five wins with a win against Army.

The most rational post made by any ND fan in the history of ND.

Hurt left knee after a 29 yard run. Was hit in the helmet near the sideline and went down without contact to the knee. After riding the stationary bike for a little bit, his left leg was put in a immobilizing brace and he was taken in for X rays. This weekend a year ago was when he tore the ACL in his right knee.

Offense definitely got a little bit of a spark when Rees came in.

It's absolutely brutal to see Notre Dame having to resort to trick plays to beat a team like Tulsa. Shows just how low things have gone.

Honestly I don't care what they have to do. They can run fake FGs, fake punts, run the lonesome polecat, hook and ladder, double pass, and whatever else they have available in the playbook. The team and the Stadium were flat at the start of the game and understandably so. They need some kind of spark. Not to mention, weren't we all screaming for Weis to open up the playbook and stop being so predictable?

Rudolph sent to the locker room to talk to Crist. Probably not the best sign.

Oh I agree 110%. I don't care at this point how they win...just as long as they win. It's just a scary thought that Notre Dame has to use those plays to get the upper hand on Tulsa.

Personally I love the way Kelly is calling this game. I mean at one point they had their third-string RB, second-string QB, second-string TE, second-string slot WR, second-string WR. Is the RT back?

Rees is making Crist look bad. Why can't Notre Dame run short pitch-and-catch (and-pitch-again-to-Wood :D ) when Crist is in? I know they're calling it safe with underneath stuff, but still. Right now he's like 16/21. Unbelievable.

Tulsa isn't bad. I know what you mean, and I agree with you, but it's basically Notre Dame's JV vs. Texas transfers. :D

It doesn't matter who they are playing. They have about a quarter of their starters coming into the season in street clothes. I'll take the fact that they are executing the plays as a positive.

I just turned to my buddy and said "Well he's like 20/30, 3 TD's and no interceptions...if watching Brett Favre has taught me anything...this is too good and he will throw a interception at some point."

Pick six the next play. hahahahaha

Perfect call by Kelly though, that was just good ol' fashioned fortuna.

Probably should have learned from Navy on how to effectively cut block someone. Dever whiffed by about 4 feet.

Damn to say Rees is hesitant of contact is a gross understatement. Good scramble there and good drive by the Irish to take advantage of the fumble.

I believe Rees' 4th passing TD breaks Clausen's record of TDs in a game by a true freshman. Powlus had 4 in a game as a redshirt freshman.
