Wilt was 7'2" and 275 lbs and he ran a 10.9 in the 100 yd dash and a 49.0 in the 440 yd dash, High Jumper,Long Jumper, Shot putter and ran in marathons for fun. He was a World Class Volleyball player, Globetrotter, Auto Racing, could have been a Pro Boxer, Football player and they changed RULES to try and stop him in basketball and I didn't even mentioned he bedded over 20,000 women. Can you imagine the stamina that takes?

Wilt is the greatest athlete ever period.end of story.

If you want to bring up Olympic athletes then guys like Mark Spitz, Michael Phelps and Eric Heiden have to be in the discussion.

Spitz is not on the same level as Phelps, Karelin, or Heiden. As for Heiden, did he never lose a competition until his final world competition? If not, he is not in the same group is Karelin. Phelps I will put in the same group as Karelin.

I don't give a fuck if it's ignorance. A god damn greco-roman wrestler isn't the greatest athlete of all time.

Surprised a dumbass as mentioned a Nascar driver yet, and equally "mindboggled!" (lol) that no one has mentioned Bob Wickman yet.

Keep cussing, its making your arguement stronger. Perhaps if you had used all caps I would agree with you.

Yeah dude cuss and be an internet hardass! It makes your argument more compelling! There are not many other athletes out there that were as dominating as him.

Now, I kind of just skipped through the thread, so if we are just talking athletes based on pure athleticism, then I would say Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson, and even Jim Brown.
