Josh Smith was committed to Indiana University for over a year before he turned Pro a few weeks before the deadline. Mike Davis is famous for saying "Josh will always be a part of the IU family" and IU fans told him to fuck off lol.
It was the same class as Rajon Rondo (also Oak Hill) and Randolph Morris (AAU Teammate of Smith) and Mike Davis had Smith and wouldve landed Randolph Morris and Rajon Rondo. But Davis didnt think Rondo was good enough (one of many reasons that clown was fired) and Morris followed Rondo to Kentucky instead of Smith to IU.
Here is the Rivals.com link to that year. http://rivals.yahoo.com/basketballrecruiting/basketball/recruiting/rankings/rank-rivals150/2004
As it turned out, IU only got DJ White (and James Hardy, and AJ Ratliff, and Robert Vaden) out of that class. Oh, what could have been.

Tonight Shaq played the most minutes he's played in 2 years with 35 minutes today and goes for 23 pts ( 3/3 from the FT Line lol ) and 5rbs 5blks
Ray Allen is 31 3's away from breaking Reggie Millers record for career 3's

He should have it. Better shooter than Reggie.

Lakers win again tonight. They've looked better since Bynum has gotten back in the swing of things.

Can't wait until the Celtics finally get KG back (which is looking like Monday vs. Orlando) and then get Kendrick Perkins back as well (which they are saying possibly Jan 30th vs. the Lakers). We're very think in the front court right now with just Shaq, Baby, Semih Erden & Luke Harangody since Jermaine O'Neal may have to have season ending knee surgery.

Clippers take down the Lake Show this afternoon 99-92. Lakers just dont seem to be able to play on the road
Gordon had 30, and held Kobe scoreless in the 4th until Kobe got to the line a few times with under 1:30 to play. Griffin struggled quite a bit, but got it going late. Extended his double-double streak, but ended the scoring 20 pts within the streak only pouring in 18.

Not all that shocked by the loss by the Lakers, but I figured they would pull it out. The Clippers are actually starting to resemble a team with a chance to get better.
Griffin's 14 game streak of 20/10 is over, but his double-double streak is now at 26 games. That is just stupid. He only has 7, yes SEVEN, games without a double-double this season; out of 38 games. In the month of January(albeit only 6 games) he is averaging 24.3/14.5. I will repeat, that is just stupid.

Take away their porous start, before they got a rotation down and before Blake established himself/got comfortable and they make the playoffs I think.
If they can lock up Blake, EJ and DeAndre Jordan long term, they will be a lot like the Thunder I think. Jordan has been a real big surprise with his defense and rebounding. He is going to be a legitimate center in the league. Problem is, Im not sure those guys will stay around. Gordon will be a FA the year the Pacers have a ton of money to throw at him and I would guess they offer him a max deal, just to get him back home and get fans on board.

Blake has been sitting for a long time, 38 and 14 I think. He should be back in after this timeout with 7 to go. Clips lead by 3 now after Gordon has gotten it going (23 pts).

Blake for 2 more, and now has the highest scoring output in the NBA this season (47) to go along with 15 boards. Wowzers.

Griffin is unreal w/ 47pts a NBA season high on 19/24 shooting & 9/11 from the FT Line

Most impressive thing about the performance by Blake today is that its on a back-to-back after arguably their biggest game/win of the season (versus the Lakers). He also did all that while only taking 24 shots. Talk about efficient.

But he has good size, can jump out of the gym, slash, finish in traffic, pass pretty well and has range from like 4 feet beyond the 3 point line.
but hes a retard...frustrating as a nuggets fan
So I caught the last 10 minutes of the Denver game last night, and JR Smith was giving a shit, and he was UNREAL. 2 straight steal-assist possessions and some monster throwdowns.

There was a Sasha Pavlovic sighting just now on Sportscenter. Too bad he was on it because he took an elbow today and broke his nose, and also its too bad Brian Kenny called him Alexander Pavlovic.

Probably because of how ugly the game has been.
