I actually don't have a problem with most of your posts, but you lost this battle. Just admit that you were wrong and move on.

Seriously dude, you're pretty stupid lol. Quick to dismiss Troy when he puts up good numbers in two games, one of which was against a defense better than Tampa Bay's, but right there with the stats when he has a bad game, as if one bad game means he completely blows. I mean shit, Drew Brees had a pretty bad game against the Browns, does that mean he sucks too?

The problem here is every time someone has a differing opinion from the majority on this board, especially when it involves OSU players current or past you're deemed as being wrong. I stand firm, Smith will not cut it in the NFL, he's doesn't have and will never have the consistency to reach the next level.

While i'm an OSU fan, i'm not the type to sit here and defend them no matter what. When they suck, they suck. For example, see Brian Robiskie. Dude hasn't done shit in the NFL so far, and hasn't done anything to prove that will change. Troy Smith on the other hand, would quite possibly have started for the Ravens had he not been sick, and has performed well in two out of three games so far. What makes you think he "doesn't have and will never have the consistency to reach the next level"? Three games, in which he's performed well in two of them, can tell you whether he'll be consistent or not? I don't think so. Not a big enough sample.

Carson Palmer has been a decent NFL QB for a few years. Against the same Tampa defense he was 21/36 for 209 yards and had 3 interceptions.

Most fans think Sam Bradford has a bright future. He was 13/26 for 126 yards against this Tampa defense.

There is no doubt that the 49ers and Troy Smith had a tough time against Tampa. but it's one game. Give him a chance to grow and learn.

Yeah I mean it's not like Troy Smith was 11/26 with 4 picks. Obviously when your offense scores 3 points, you're probably not going to have good stats. Yes, a lot of that can be blamed on TS, but it's not like Gore had 150 and 2 TDs. The entire offense looked miserable, and he still didn't stink up the joint.

I'm not even that big of a TS fan either lol

I'm actually a little disappointed. I would've thought you would be typing on here seconds after the game. See, unlike you and the other TS haters, I didn't expect him to come out and put up Peyton Manning numbers every week. He was due for a bad game and had it (the other qb's on the roster Smith and Carr (former #1 overall picks) have had about 30 of the same types of games each.) Let's see what he does next week. What does your next level line mean anyways? He's at the next level in terms of the NFL. He's a starting NFL quarterback and a solid one, which is all anyone on here said he'd be. Your the one giving him hall of fame standards.

See, I love the hypocrisy in your statement. You talk about how people on here are biased when talking about OSU players when YOU are the only one bringing up that TS is from OSU. Sure, most of us on here are familiar with him from college as is most of the nation. To say that people can't objectively look at him because he went to OSU is a statement that is both asinine and dumb. He's been pretty solid so far in his career. He had a bad game last week (not quite a Derek Anderson game but a bad game). Every quarterback whether they're great, good, mediocre, or terrible has bad games. Again, let's see what he does next week. I'm sure you'll discredit his opponent if he does well and praise them if he fails. Whatever works to fit YOUR argument. The problem here is that most of the people on here aren't mentally handicapped and can see through your little game.

Now the 49ers are going back to Alex Smith as the starter. Is Troy Smith hurt?

LOL.......nice novel. This post proves my point, if it wasn't for OSU fans, Smith wouldn't even be mentioned on this forum.

Again, he got his chance and look at his stats, the proof is there. He can't cut it at this level!

Is this a serious comment? No shit you arrrr-tard. Why else would anyone in Ohio care about the 49ers quarterback situation?

If it wasn't for ND, this entire sight would be free of ignorance and stupidity.

See, I can make ridiculous statements too, it's fun.

He really is a bad head coach, and his handling of the QB situation all season has been pretty laughable. I mean Troy hasn't lit up the world but he played well enough to win some games and make some good plays on the way. No matter who they had at QB, they weren't going to win at Green Bay this past weekend. In fact, they should have been happy that Troy through that TD pass at the end of the first half to keep it as close as it was.

Sarcasm sir.

But I am curious, was your statement that no one would care about Troy Smith (an OSU alum) on this site (a generally OSU site) unless Troy Smith was an OSU alum (which he is) a serious statement? It seems pretty common sense to me, and unnecessary to say.

^^^^^Common sense? BTW, yes, that's the only reason why he's mentioned on this forum........and GOD forbid your opinion isn't in agreement with the majority! I just don't think he has the tools to make at the NFL level.

It's not like the 49ers ownership isn't based in Ohio or anything, I know a lot of people that follow the 9ers for that reason alone.
