Am I the only one who understands what HB is trying to say here? Lay off the guy, sheesh.

You keep telling me to look at statistics, yet the Falcons haven't even been favored (not that predictions/vegas lines are true statistics anyways) in every game. Yet you've still chosen them to win every week. You are just trying to cover up your bias and it's exposing your stupidity in the process. You're better off just admitting you are a homer (its ok, nothings wrong with that) so that everything you've said in this thread will be eradicated from people's memories.

I dunno. I predicted the Colts to win every game so far except I thought theyd lose the opener. But I also had them at 4-2 at their bye. I am closer to being right, but the concept is there.

Now, Im not sure how logical it was to pick the Falcons over all the teams they have played, but Im sure he isnt the only one.

Will someone please add the Packers and Giants to my poll. I didn't mean to leave them out. I accidentally hit submit thread before I was finished.

I've picked the Jets to win every game of the season so far but before the season started I had them at 4-2 at the bye. I will probably only pick them to lose to Pitt and NE the rest of the way but I think they will finish the season 12-4 or 11-5.

The Giants are....the defense has knocked out 4 QB's now this season...they are starting to play all phases of the game well.

I've picked the Brownies to win every game this year and before the season I had them winning the division. Now I only think they'll go 11-5 and I don't think they'll win more than four playoff games.

The Giants and Falcons are the only teams even in the conversation right now. I think the Giants are better though.

If you thought they'd be 4-2, why'd you predict them to win every game? That does not make any sense to me. I predicted OSU to lose 1 game, so I said they'd lose @ Iowa. I didn't predict them to individually win every game, while saying they'd lose 1 game throughout the season.

If you think they'd be 4-2, name the 2 losses beforehand.

Teams lose apparent "gimme's" and win games they shouldn't. It's a lot easier to predict an overall record than each individual matchup before the season starts. Just because it doesn't make sense to you doesn't mean it's wrong.

I understand that. So maybe before a Falcons game, you would say "I thought they'd trip up against a lesser team, this seems like the game" Boom, bye bye homerism.

It just doesn't make any sense to me...idk.

Also, what's the big deal with a little homerism anyway? If your team is good obviously you think they can win every game they play. Clearly that isn't the case if you're a fan of, say, the 49ers or Panthers. But as a fan of one of the top tier teams you tend to think they are going to win every game going in to it. Maybe it doesn't make sense to you sense the Browns haven't been top tier for so long? :)

Haha.

I said in a previous post, there is nothing wrong with him being a homer. I just do not understand the whole "I predict them to be 5-2, but I'm going to pick them to win every week"

But HB is a huge homer...that is the only point I am trying to get across. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just funny that he tries to deny it, then uses a bullshit reasoning for it.

Pretty damn happy with the G-Men right now, despite Eli's INT woes. Clicking on all cylinders, with still much room for improvement.

I have predicted the Browns to lose each game individually, but I had them around 2 wins at this point.

Because its the Colts and I know they always lose to some team that is inferior to them. Houston at home I knew they would lose. I also predicted a blow-out vs the G-Men cause Peyton will never lose to Eli.

But after that I looked at each game and said the Colts will win, on an individual basis. I figured theyd slip up vs the Jags, Skins, or Chiefs or Broncos. Now going into each game I didnt think this would be the game...but it ended up being said game vs the Jags.

PLUS, and this isnt the case but it couldve been. I thought they would lose to Houston and the Skins, but thought theyd be 4-2 at the bye. So when they lost to the Jags a game I had them winning, I switched my Skins pick cause I knew Peyton would lose on SNF to be 3-3 heading to a bye.

You cant always just look at your pre-season predictions and your game by game basis the same.

Does it make me a homer since I'm gonna pick the Cowboys over the Jags this week?
