The outcome of this game completely depends on which NW team shows up.

Alliance has a lot of great athletes this year that can make big plays. NW will have to play a GREAT game to win in my opinion.

I just hope we can win to salvage some pride this season.

northwest coach always plays like that weather they are up huge or down big so i dont see a big problem with it just prepare and play thats all you can do

Get over it!

One reason it was done was because WB took a timeout to force the punt to begin with. I am sure that Whiting thought that WB wanted to get the ball, return it then kick an onside kick to make things interesting. By faking the kick this took out any other possibility. I think it was a smart and exciting move.

Happened in Freshman game and Marlington wasn't using their timeouts. You seem a little testy though. Just thought it looked bad on your part. Your Frosh beat us fair and square, just seemed a little overboard.

first off if you have been to all of the nw games as I have (all levels), you would know that the punt teams have struggled with numerous blocks, bad snaps, etc. If a punt was blocked or there was a bad snap it could have resulted in an immediate marlington score leaving time for them to score again. if i am correct the fake resulted in -5 yds and a turnover. from my understanding if the play would have broke free he was instructed to go down after he got the first. all in all great yr for the freshman. after their only loss to alliance, they really gelled as a TEAM. Marlington was a previously undefeated team that was never to be taken lightly, and congrats to them as well with a piece of the nbc title.
