Don't know who got it but it had some nice rims on it--Its a shame that with all the talent that team had that they couln't bring home a state title.

They could try but they would have a tough time with the MAC teams in Div 4,5,6 and they would have to get by Mooney in D3--not an easy task in any division.Maybe they can get more players from Texas by giving their parents jobs in Warren.

As opposed to giving scholarships and grants to kids (parents)?

NOT my point at all--I think Mooney belongs in Division 1 but I also believe that if Harding played in a lower division they would not have an easy time winning a state championship.Do you think differently?

WGH Raider, you'd like that green explorer ... it's the color of envy. You can't honestly believe Harding hasn't done any active recruiting in football or basketball (or maybe you can).

Lol - I was going to say that before but threw in the dig about the Texas qb instead.I'm sure its frustrating to have all the tremendous talent they've had over the past decade(numerous NFL players) and not be a perennial state champion.I believe that the rules need to be changed as far as divisions go--however its not Mooney's fault that they haven't been changed.Lately I've been hearing the rumor that Braylon may be going to Michigan.

perennial state champion??? lol!!! a city of 40,000 should be a perennial D1 state champion. how big are cleveland, columbus, cincinnati??? the guy who brought up the qb from texas should know his facts. the qbs parents both went to warren western reserve. they lived in texas and they got divorced and the mother moved back to warren with her son while the dad stayed in texas. futbol4ever what happened to the jfk hoops coach a few years ago??? did he run out of that green you talk about???

OMG SHUT UP! All of you. Enough with the recruiting garbage--probably every private school around Y-town has been guilty of it at some point, who cares. There are public schools that have been guilty of it...big deal. They're high school kids playing GAMES--stop getting so caught up in who is better than who...does it really mean anything in the end?

Not nearly as bad as the 3 QBs Harding got from JFK within a 10 year span. You got no room to throw any stones.

1. No name calling or threats towards other site members or student athletes.
2. No inappropriate language. If you wouldn't say it in front of a teacher or coach, don't say it here.
3. No false accusations or rumor-mongering (this includes blindly accusing private or public schools of recruiting).

I'm sure Cleveland ,Columbus, and Cincinnati have more than one public high school---divide their population up by how many high schools they have.My point was that with all the talent they have had--ck the NFL and you will see more players from WGH than any area program -that's why I believe they should be perennial powers.Coldwater only has 4000 in the whole town yet they have beaten Mooney (a team that usually beats WGH)twice.

you are right-I don't think anyone truly believes that both aren't guilty and that part isn't worth arguing about.Looking over your previous posts I tend to agree with almost all of them(other than the one that they deleted yesterday). This is just one topic-- if you don't like the back and forth bantering just go to another one.(That's what I did after reading the back and forth arguements in the Lebron James/Jeremy Shockey posts--seems like some people got caught up in that one too--right?

I don't mind getting caught up in an argument--but you guys are just going way overboard. Making accusations and spreading rumors--whatever, you may know them to be true but to the masses they're still rumors. And you're arguing about schools who are all guilty of the same thing. In the end it doesn't really matter, we're talking about high school kids--let them go where they want. I have no problem with anyone going to Mooney, Harding, etc, even if they were "recruited". It gives them a hell of a lot better chance to improve their lives for the next level.

I really could care less about any of the "rumors" As you have stated all parties are guilty and as far as going on about what teams are better that answer was already decided on the playing field not on these
forums.

Ughhh...Hr brought up the JFK basketball coach...I brought up 3 QBs leaving Kennedy to go to Harding. Could care less about Mooney/Campbell situation. Bottem line here is NOBODY owns my kid or yours or anybody elses kid. You send your kid where you think he has the best opportunity if its for acedemic reasons or athletically. Thats YOUR choice. Just because a kid grows up in Warren, Niles, Campbell doesnt mean that kid belongs to that city or school. Same goes for Kennedy, Mooney or Ursuline. If they dont want to be there...Let them go. Its all about choice.

The Kokal kid leaving JFK could have possibly cost them the a state championship. I talked to his dad and he told me the kid wanted to go there. I respected that and totally agreed with him. It worked out well for the young man. He played in a state championship game with Harding and received a scholarship to Miami of Ohio. Great. His younger brother stayed at JFK and was a great player and also received a scholarship to Miami. Again...Your choice.

How is your reading comprehension? One of the Kokal boys stayed at JFK and one left to go to Harding. I have never had a problem with any kid going where he wants to go. Never will. Thats why its a parents and a kids choice. You said its a crime...I say its choice. Alot of kids have left JFK through the years to go to Harding,Howland, Niles and others. JFK has also got kids from these schools. Who cares? I'll tell you who....The schools that have poor programs and cant understand why a kid who lives in their town leaves. Sour grapes is all it is. Again...Go where you want no school owns the the birth certificate of any kid.

Word out of Y-town is that Mr. Heard decommitted from WVU and is heading to Nebraska to play for Mooney alumni Bo Pelini
