I never said that anyone "organized" a trip. It' like some of you blindly read one guy's (rr1), misinterpretation and like lambs chime in and foolishly continue with it!

Leave Pirman on the bench, you can always sub him in to foul someone. Start Winters, play him as much as possible, he needs the time and experience.BRF;659492 wrote:...boys, I am going with a starting line up of: Wasson, Pirman, Mitchell, Neer and Turner (at the point) Winters rotates in and out with the "bigs".

Have any of you been to any of his games in Mt. Vernon? I remember when the football team got together for a trip to Ashland to see Tom Brenner play. It's only .75 to 1.0 hr. away, depending upon weather. This is his last year, don't you think that would be a nice gesture from the school?
This was your original post about the entire issue you brought up....
As you said "the football team got together for a trip" do you honestly think this was just thought up one weekend, oh let's go to Ashland to watch Tom play....no coach Davault and Tom Brenner (the father) got together to organize the trip to Ashland....The same happened with Tim when the football team took trips to Bowling Green and Toledo to watch him play....everything was free to the players and coaches because we were there for "recruiting visits and tours" the parents organized with the college coaches to be able to talk to Tim after the games....Also many community members made the drive AND paid for their tickets to watch Tim play. This was all done by the coaching staff, and with the help of Orrviews (which the articles were submitted by parents), to let people know Tim was playing close by and how he was doing....

So, to you I ask...Why did the coach or parents not make an effort to organize something for the players or community?

Ohhhhhhhhhh....LOL! However, last time we met up, I believe that YOU were the "she"! I, for one, know EXACTLY where you were going with that comment about going to see Brandon and you can try to cover it up all you want, but it doesn't cut it with me.

I asked a question, that as Orrville fan's that seem to keep up and comment about alumni that are active at the collegiate level, if any of you have attended any of his games. If that's underhanded or has an ulterior motive...whatever!

You know it has an ulterior motive....but whatever, to answer your question, I have gone to 3 of his basketball games....which is more games than I went to watch Tim and Tom.

We didn't "meet up", our paths crossed. Know the difference.
You said before that whatever you have to say you will, "say it to my face"! You've had several occasions and you've obviously choked. If I have something to say to you, on the computer or to your face, I will.

You really do know how to paint a good picture for yourself, Rembrandt. I tell you what, next time ....but not on school grounds (because I know your ulterior motive on that) and I will stop and stand and then it's your call if you want to stand or walk off. You say I have had "several occasions"? Name them.

Neat picture of our gym....

--------------------------------
And as a final word, here's my rundown of our recent college athletes and the games I've attended.
Kyle Simmon & Josh Bowman - ZERO
Brandon - ZERO
Jake - ZERO
Tommy Brenner - ZERO
Tim Hiller - 1 (arranged on my own, not a part of any group)
I will nominate Series62 to organize the trip to Lincoln to watch Max play at Nebraska. He can contact Max's dad and I'm sure the details can be worked out.

I think part of the reason people went to see Jake was because of last year .Orrville had a great run and alot ofpeople followed them to columbus. People get connected to winning teams and the people on them. Brandons teams always had a good regular season then bowed out quickly in the post-season. Not the same connection.
