Dont think there was one....maybe something about mayoral proclamations being dumb.

So a mayoral proclamation about mayoral proclamations being dumb? Makes sense.

Good luck to both schools this weekend.

May the game be fun, intense, and injury free!!!

Sounds like the making of a good game.

Misread. We didn't run one BECAUSE they're dumb. See, we've got our finger on the pulse of "cool" over here in Orrville.

Now where that dummy and a pile of pallets to burn?

I honestly do believe it was an attempt to motivate an otherwise lackluster fan base into showing some interest in the game. Oh, and staying after the bands halftime show too. I also believe those Woosterites who were planning on attending would have attended the game even without the proclamation.

It just seems (and this can be documented) Wooster has some pretty apathetic fans. I did like the fact that the mayor recognized this issue and is trying to do something about it. Whether or not it works, who knows. Nothing puts butts in the seats like a winning program. Even in Wooster.

And yes you do have your fingers on the pulse of cool over there in Orrville, your Dairy Queen has indoor seating. Point proven.

You make a convincing offer, but the traffic over to Orrville will be horrific.

If I'm a WHS student....I seriously think about convoying with about 10 of my closest General fans over to Orrville tonight. Maybe bring my own "Red Rider" dummy to throw in the bonfire..

They could do a hit & run if they are good.

That'd be a pretty cool prank. Sure you might get boo'd and hissed, but they wouldn't be breaking any rules and would desecrate one of the few remaining Wooster Week traditions.

Maybe if he does beat Orrville this year he gets fired. If you know what I mean.

This is funny stuff Ringz. Keri still finding ways to help the Riders.

Glad you picked up on my sarcasam. However, it would not surprise me if there aren't some conspiracy theorists over here who might actually think that is the case.

How can you tell which audience members at a Star Wars movie are Catholic?

Someone in the movie says, "May the force be with you."

The Catholic audience members stand and say "and also with you."

A little day before gameday tension breaker for you (and me) 5Knots.
