I normally don't do mix drinks much but would love to have a thurmas of black hot coffee with something added to it.

I don't really want something sweet like Irish Coffee, and would like to keep it simple to only adding 1 to the coffee. Has anyone tried just adding plain bourbon/whiskey or other alcohol to black coffee and it is good?

I've never added anything to my coffee except one time I tried cream and sugar. That was disgusting.

You have to be careful if you add liquor to your coffee as it makes it 10X stronger. You would only need a little bit.

I have had jameson and coffee and its not that great. Put the jameson in coke or take it straight. I would add kalua or some schnapps instead.

I think he meant it makes the alcohol flavor stronger and more noticeable. Not that it actually makes it stronger.
