Baylor being investigated over the recruitment of Hanner Perea (2012 post player). I have posted about Perea before and he has long been down to Indiana or Baylor. But Baylor can all but be axed at this point. Assistant coach sent too many texts to Hanner and his coaches and was also off campus recruiting when he wasnt allowed to be.

THAT however isnt what is sickening. The contents of THIS particular text is (for reference...Baylor people, but not coaches, are the ones responsible for getting him to the United States):
Morefield also sent a text to LaLumiere coach Alan Huss, which was obtained by FOXSports.com, saying that if Perea didn’t go to Baylor, he wouldn’t be back in the United States.

“I guarantee u if he does [commit to another school] he will be in Colombia for the spring and summer and next year. Don’t forget it,” the text said.

It's sad, but not unexpected. Seems like recruitment becomes more of an unethical, cutthroat business on a yearly basis. You have an okay-ish program that's been pretty solid recently...they want to become a perennial power...they decide they have to do whatever it takes to get recruits. Even if it's a pure asshole move like this.

Not a surprise coming from Scott Drew's staff. Recruit at all costs.

Baylor just got Quincy Miller and Deuce Bello from here in NC.
Big news that they are headed that way, one and dones if they had their way. Miller probably can, Bello while a prolific dunker doesnt have the overall game

Regardless, Baylor will be stacked next year.
