This guy knows what's up.

I can't imagine Texas not using Cliff Lee in game 6 if it comes to that

Why would they use him in 6....Save him for game 7 so he can pitch 3 times in the WS if need be.

That's true. But I'm not sure I want this series to go to a game 7 if I am Ron Washington. End it in game 6. I just fear that the so-called "Yankee Magic" will come into play for a game 7. The Yankees have been here before and the pressure wouldn't phase them. I just think the Rangers could lock up in a pressure game 7 situation.

This could be true. But as a Manager you dont think that way. You think, "We got Cliff Lee. We will win."

I think they will win game 6 versus Phil Hughes regardless of who pitches though.

Yanks extend the series and send it back to Texas.... got a good enough pitching performance today to keep the Rangers off balance and the bats woke up a bit.

tie game 1-1

break for the Yankees, ARod scores on wild pitch

although the ball bounced and hit Swisher on the leg before getting away from Molina, which should've kept ARod at third

Posada singled anyway

Yanks pitching just getting rocked tonight. Can't always have the bed of roses. Now the question that has been wandering back and forth in my mind is...

Is tonight the last night that we'll see The Core Four (Jeter, Posada, Rivera, and Pettitte) together in Yankee uniforms? Jeter and Rivera are at the end of contracts and Pettitte has hinted at retirement in recent years....kind of scary to think about. I love those four guys and all they've done to cement their legacy in the organization and to continue the winning tradition....

I'm just wondering if the Pirates will interview Tony Pena.

I hope so. I think he'd be a good fit.
