That looked like a bad call.

Ump wanted to keep the game close so anything close he was calling out there.

The tag was high up, looked like the feet were already in.

He did get him.

My mistake.

Got the hand before tagging the body.

Good call.

Why do players continue to slide in to bases with their leg that is bent going to the base first?

Does anyone get trained to lean to the outside or inside of the base depending on which side the tagger is on? Bad fundamentals cost a run and maybe 3 if Cantu gets a hit with 2nd and 3rd.

Headfirst is a bad and dangerous play except to go back to the base you came from!

not really...not when there is no one covering home. It was the easiest way to score that run.

No one was there at the time, but a 300 pounder was coming hard, and could have come in with his knees trying to block the plate and a skull could have been crushed, or a shoulder torn up. It is my opinion that you can get there just as quick and just as much on the outside corner feet first as you can headfirst, and risk way less injury.

After the bottom of the Yankee order sets the table, Wilson gets big outs on Jeter and Swisher to keep the lead at 3 runs.

Sabathia struggling and battling his front side to keep it closed. This is really hindering his ability to locate and throw strikes right now...

Not a great offensive approach so far in the game either for New York. Wilson is getting pretty much anything he wants by going away, away, away from hitters and haven't seen the adjustment yet. Maybe we'll see it the 2nd time around

Good God that was a game saving bounce for the Yankees.....who knows what happens the rest of the inning if that ball doesn't bounce directly back so quickly.

Rangers unable to add on and lucky to still have the 3 run lead thru four. Wilson with 58 pitches, 3 hits, one walk. Two clean innings and two with 2 LOB.

You have to jump on, squish and bury teams like the Yankees and Phillies

the Rangers have jumped on....but have squandered some chances to squish

I wouldn't be too concerned yet if I'm the Rangers.

It's only the fourth inning and they'll still have their sluggers up a few more times.

Missed opportunity in the first with the close play at the plate but they still should like how things are going.

Two big add-on two out RBI by Young to get it to a 5 run lead in the 4th.

Hamilton missed his pitch on the 2-1 fastball in the middle. Then K's on a back-door slider to end the inning.
