This just in from the "GTF outta here file". The Hillsdale Falcons spread their mighty wings and flew to victory in the Loudonville Gribbles IGA Classic. The Falcons rang up 209 pts to outdistance 2nd place Woodbridge and host Loudonville 3rd.
Seth Heldenbrand (140) and Cody Myers (189) won championships while Jake Finley (152), Heath Burkholder (171) and A. Heldenbrand (130) picked up second place finishes.

LATEST SANDBAGGIN' NEWS---
It now appears Hillsdale, Norwayne & Chippewa will battle for the title, leaving Waynedale & Northwestern to battle with Smithville & Dalton to stay out of the cellar.


on a sad and serious note, still pulling for the Nelson twins to somehow find a way back to the mats this year.

Good luck to all teams at county ! The twins will still be there. They are determined to help their teammates to excel and rise above the injustice and have not missed and will not miss a practice till the season is over compete or not!! Waynedale wrestlers and fans will come together and wrestle above and beyond others expectations with out the twins and my family will be there to support this team! Its nice to see this thread fired back up talking about your great county tournament and wrestlers. Best of luck to all and may all wrestlers stay healthy and be at their best in this last sprint to state 2011.

It does not surprise me that Hillsdale is throwing their hat in the Championship ring...they have had a great year with football and basketball...no reason the wrestlers cant be added to the mix!!!!

I'm calling shenanigans.... WCAL will be boring this year. Hillsdale will run away with it now. I'm convinced after the earlier post. There will be more action at the pub then in the gym.

How we looking in the 215 wt. class? Bears have a pretty solid kid...somebody going to stop him? Could boil down to that wt. class for the Bears.

Sad to see the twins out for sure, but happy to see some kind of closure so we can move on to discussion about the dozens of outstanding wrestlers coming to Jville Saturday.

Unfortunately county won't come down to the studs. Depth, depth & more depth. The Huskies have it, others don't. I'm not talking about a great 5 or 6. History teaches us a mag seven can't get it done. To predict county you have to go deep.

I miss any and all dangerous piping when I shower. I can see it now everyone is so worried about the husky- bears match ups and norwayne -chippewa matches that hillsdale sneaks an extra zero or two on team scores in the computer and ends up with county title due to their computer hacking skills

Kelbley probably has the best shot at a championship for Smithville, will he even be tested? If Hall and Shaffer stay at 171 and 189 the only other shot is at 215 with Wiley. Who wins titles for Hillsdale?

They help compact the muscle and aid in the healing process. worn for a reason. Just like you wear those jeans tight around the pelvis area. All for a reason.

Im not so sure there will be a lot of Bear-Huskie Marquees. It appears to be a VERY balanced WCAL with a few hammers from everywhere. Norwayne, Chippewa, Dalton, Hillsdale have some pretty good middlewights.. Smithville have the higher weights. Huskies are solid throughout, and Bears are deep but young.

Aside from Huskies/Bears, you have names like Britton, Hall, Morris, Genet, Grier, Moore, Everett, Studer, Hall, Vogelhuber, Heldenbrand, Johnson, Bramley, Finley, Rohrbaugh, Cline, Lance, Hall, Hilty, Lehman, Hilty, Eisenhauer, Badertscher, Wiley, Scrock, Kelby and Worman.

Those kids could very well win their weight classes and/or knock off Bears/Huskies for placement matches.

Realistically...i see a few Bears and Huskies Titles that are possible...but about the only Given is Scheafer....perhaps Beam as well.

103 is light in competitors...whoever shows up to wrestle...

112 Britton/ Harter with Hall and Gregan factoring in???? (possible Bears/Huskies head to head)

119 Berry/Genet???

125 Grier/Stanley

130 Fortune/Moore, with Wardell and Everett looking for a title

135 Vogelhuber/Studer

140 Hershey/Heldenbrand

145 Stanley/Topp with Bramley always a gamer (possible Bears/Huskies head to head)

With this outlook, The finalist im predicting, i have NWN and Waynedale with 1/2 at 160 due to my lack of knowledge on seeding and not including 103..I also have Scheafer at 215.

215 looks like a battleground! Looks like 3 guys with 21,22 wins each. Have to go with Badertscher, Hillsdale. Assuming the mat stats are correct pretty impressive 16 pins. But then again...strong, weak schedule?? Clever cleans house!!

Yikes my bad forgot about Scrock, Kelbley will have to be at his best to get this one, Scrock beat him at Hillsdale.

Don't hold me to it 1514, but I think Kelbly may have beaten Srock in a quad w/Orr & Tri. Even if my memory is flawed, the HWT championship bout should be between those two and should be very entertaining.

If Schaefer goes 189, I like Cleaver to take 215 over Wiley and Shook. I thought Badertscher was an 89 but I guess alot of guys will be trying to avoid Schaefer. That makes trying to figure out the 189-215 weight classes ahead of time quite difficult.

140-145 is another area that will be interesting. Stanley/Hershey/Heldenbrand/Topp are my picks for the finalists in these classes although at which weight I'm not sure. Further obscuring the situation is darkhorse Bramley or somebody bumping down from 152 to avoid Beam.

In the Shoe-in categorey I have Schaefer(189-215), Beam(152), Hall(171) & Harter(112)

The marquee matches that could happen IMO are Fortune/Moore, the HWT championship match, and one or both of the 140/145 LB championships.

160 looks interesting, probably Lances to lose, but once again can't rule out someone bumping up or down to avoid Beam and Hall.

103 & 119 are wide open. Northwestern has a chance to make a statement and sweep these to classes but that is far from certain.

125 is Griers if healthy, if not I like D.Stanley.

Can't. To many holes an unknowns lineups. If you do before the seeding many I am guesing you will be wrong in many areas
