I think your two choices for front runners are still Waynedale and Northwestern, for a very long time the question has always been about 3rd place, LOL. Sorry, but the statistics and history don't lie. So who is making the prediction for 3rd place. I think two solid contenders is Doyelstown and Norwayne, but with some of their strength and depth, and some potential bonus points, either of them could jump into 2nd place in this always tight race.

Don't forget about Loudonville... Haven't seen them yet this year, from what I understand they're solid from middleweights on up. Potential point scorers 52-HVY...?

Yeah Loudonville is tough, but they aren't in WCAL, but they are in the Sectional, which is a whole other analysis to go through to see who wins that title, LOL.

I started a "Northwestern DIII sectional" thread, you might have to go to page 2 or 3 to find it, but it has a basic rundown on the weight classes.
I've seen Loudonville this year and they have some talented upper weights but IMO lack the depth to compete for the team title. Check out the other thread and give your opinion, it would be welcomed.

Congratulations to Eddie Flinner on his 100th career win last night. A great wrestler and an even better young man.

WCAL is closing in.....Is Hillsdale ready for the sea of gold? Will Northwestern get some help from the likes of Chippewa and Norwayne? Soooo many sub-plots! Can't wait!

Iam feeling Waynedale will be in full force and full lethal strength for county now the some dates have been changed and positions softened. I think Waynedale will be insanely strengthened as a team. What ever doesn't kill you makes you better. Don't be surprised to see a 140 pound state placer from last year show up at 130 to make a statement and run for State with Stieber at 135. I know two kids that have doubled down on their work ethic and intensity to make a statement at county and districts. He also has not took kindly to a few posts by a certain dark blue School posters. County could be very very intense and entertaining. Let us hope.

"I know what I know, and I don't know nothin!"! just an old Wesleyism from Suffield, Wesley was the town drunk but knew more than I will ever forget! We still live by his gospel! (some of us)!!

I'm sure the "dark blue" posters & wrestlers loved and took kindly to being accused of being involved in the "drama" by you on the basis of a rumor. (post #405 page 17). At least you kind of apologized, I think. (LOL)
It's all good though, the WCAL tournament LOVES drama---Bracketgate, Forfeitgate, The Mag 7 year, Burge vs WD, Huber/Kikume, etc, etc....2011 promises to be no exception. I have total faith the little Falcons will wrestle and the team title race will be close. I also forsee a banner revenue night at the J-Ville pub.

Only a banner revenue night Red Rum if you are buying the first 5 or 6 rounds, LOL. Yes, I too am looking forward to a night at the J'Ville pub with all my ohio chatter friends, and well, I guess some not so friendly too, take the good with the bad I guess. Since I will probably be driving, have to make mine pepsi, and dean, you still buying a round, make mine a double pepsi in an unwashed glass, like to take risks you know, LOL.

Waynedale takes 3rd at Elmwood Duals falling behind Tiffin, and Sandusky Perkins. Rough weekend maybe for both ends of the county. Noticed a lot of hard fought losses to our best (county) wrestlers.
And then there were none... Beam loses undefeated season by 9-4 count to Tiffin. Good test but not sure what was learned. 19 shots to ZERO by opponent. No stalling with questionable 5 point line call too much to overcome. Not to mention 4 point zing from unsportsman points. It was one of those days. Then what would you expect from a hillbilly anyway!!

Tough loss for Zeb. He will come back strong! The team will come back strong . No doubt 3 team losses to the charge of one clerks ruling and two team dual trophy's vanish. Team unity stronger than ever. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. The twins were sore this morning , big thanks out to the Elmwood coach to the 3 practices they endured at Elmwood duals while the team competed. Making lemonade out of lemons! Sour grapes into wine! Great day Bears. The Sea Of Gold will return.Wildbear;658081 wrote:Waynedale takes 3rd at Elmwood Duals falling behind Tiffin, and Sandusky Perkins. Rough weekend maybe for both ends of the county. Second that crew... Can we get a match narration?? Sounds like the Bear's just got an atmospheric tune-up for County. Proudguard I also agree with you about Jr. High County... Team title came down to numbers I'd say, with Northwestern filling all 16 classes I believe. But, rich young talent scattered throughout the league, especially below 128!

I was a first time ever poster. But, I have read this entire thread and the eligibility thread and I didn't see any shots taken or evidence of any "dark blue" posters being involved in any of your drama, Falcon. I have no dog in this fight, I'm just making a statement.

Cleverguy, if I'm not mistaken weren't there 4 weight classes with only 3 wrestlers. I think this was one of the worst years, as far as numbers go, for our middle schools.
