Cooper in the HOF is a travesty beyond comprehension. Of course I'm sure they'll vote Tebow in soon too, and at that moment the CFB - HOF will cease to have any validity anyway.

NO....Anybody who has ever wanted to see a team lose (hatred for the coach or not) is NOT a fan.....If you didn't feel the kick in the stomach every time UM won, or MSU in 98...you are not a fan. Thank you John cooper for saving this program from obscurity of the late 80s. Thank you John Cooper for bringing such great talent to OSU. (Much of that talent that you are only to happy to tout as part of a Buckeye NFL tradition)
Thank you John Cooper for being a Buckeye. I hate the fact you lost those games (esp MSU 98), but thank you for making 2002 possible.

You my friend and all who think like you are not real fans.

Are saying that a Heisman trophy winning QB that led his team to a National Championship, played a pretty big role in another, and broke many records does not belong in the HOF? I mean I got tired of the Tebow love the last couple years, but he was one of the better College Football Players in recent memory.

Ohio State has won its last eight Big Ten road games against AP Top 25 opponents! That is a positive thing to think about before Saturday night.

Don't get your panties in a wad "my friend." I've been following Buckeye football religiously since 1967.

I NEVER wanted the team to lose....ever.

However, when Cooper consistently lost HUGE games and the pressure for him to go mounted, I secretly hoped on rare occasions that he would keep losing the big games to bring his demise on a little more rapidly. Trust me....every game the Buckeyes lost in that agonizing era was painful to me.

The only thing that got me through those times was knowing with every Cooper-led bowl game, key game (like MSU '98) or Michigan loss brought us one step closer to a coach like Tressel.

I never thought like this of Hayes, Bruce, or Tressel...only John Cooper. If that makes me not a "real fan" in your opinion so be it.

Bruce was once the head coach of Sandusky High.

Just wanted to throw that out there :)

Hey hoops...is it true the Sandusky Blue Streaks got their nickname from a roller coaster? Or did the roller coaster get its name from Sandusky?

If TP can beat them as freshman in the last 2 minutes he sure as hell can as a jr with the whole 60.
It wont be easy but the Buckeyes win it 29-23.

They were indeed. Wisky was awful that year- they were coming off a loss to the worst Michigan team ever, and for whatever reason our guys couldn't shake them.

Well they were a preseason to 10 team. They blew a pretty big lead to Michigan, lost a close one to us, then it was downhill as they got blown out by Penn State

Ohio wins easily at Camp Randall and maintainsits #1 ranking because :

Ohio State has more experience beating teams in its conference and losing to teams in the SEC than any other squad

Cedar Point named the Blue Streak after our football team.

I'll be honest....I'm nervous about this one.

I'm in a wedding Saturday and the bride insisted they don't have a TV anywhere in the reception hall. FUCK.

I guess she caught wind of another friends wedding that was going on during the OSU/Texas game (the second one). The reception was in a hall on top of a bar/restaurant and half of it cleared out during the game.

On a good note. The reception will have a genuine Block O ice luge! Woohoo!

Just saw a tweet that Paul Keels won't be calling the game due to an "intestinal blockage." Apparently he already had surgery and it was successful. Hopefully he is back soon, probably the best voice in sports broadcasting.

This is why you don't get married on an OSU football Saturday, once again.

I really feel for you dude. Hopefully you've got the ESPN mobile app to get updates and highlights throughout the day

I'll be looking at my phone for sure. I think they planned it around a bye week, but someone made a mistake....I have no idea. But I've heard today that there will be a TV in the "lobby" so that is a plus.

Yeah I saw that. Who will step in and do the play-by-play this Saturday?

I don't always get to see the Buckeyes on TV over here in State College so I listen to Keels and Karsatos via web stream a lot. I listen even if the Bucks are on TV.

Keels is far better than Steve Jones who calls Penn State games.
