I flipped over to the Rangers/Rays series after the Bama game because I knew Texas could clinch, but that was it.

I watched football later because I knew the Yankees were playing, and by MLB rule it'll be in the primetime slot.

I watched an inning of the Rays game tonight, saw some more absolutely pathetic umpiring and then changed the channel.

Plate umpire from that game tonight is from my hometown... we generally suck at everything.

Fortunately for him and unfortunately for fans/players/teams he isn't alone in sucking. I honestly don't remember the umpiring being this glaringly bad, especially in the post season.

Prayers from Northwest Ohio. Maybe with your move to the big city you can jump on the Mets bandwagon. I'm sure there are plenty of good seats on that bus. ;)

Baseball had adjusted their schedule to have less conflict with football next year. The regular season ends midweek. The heart of the first round series will then fall the following midweek instead of on the weekend like it is now.

I won't even have sex with my fiance when football is on, unless "we do it doggystyle to we can both watch x-files [college football]." I tell her, you are old news. Been there done that. This college football game, with this group of players, on this field, at this time..is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Now NFL..totally different. After a TD, we can hit the sheets and with all the TV timeouts we can be done before the next series starts.

Didn't watch any of the MLB playoffs. Was rooting for the Redlegs until they shit in their hat.

I flipped back and forth between the Giants-Braves and Cowboys-Titans, and then the Reds-Phillies and Eagles-49ers on Sunday.

You can pretty much watch a baseball and football game at the same time.

Although when it's Saturday night and you have three good football games and a baseball game, I may only check in on baseball once in awhile for the score.

Now that the Reds are out, I won't watch another inning (wish I would have taken that approach a week ago)

If I'm watching football, I'll check random playoff baseball for the score and might stick there for a little while. 'Bout the only non-Pirates playoff games (and no...I couldn't keep a straight face while typing the word "playoffs" next to my team) I'd watch over a good football game are Reds and Indians, because I have good friends who are fans of those teams, so I take more of an interest in them than the average team.

But tell me, would you say those friends are more...(what is the word I'm looking for? Ahhh...)"knowledgeable?"

Even if I have a dog in the race (Reds are playing), I'll watch the college football game and flip over during commercials. I haven't watched a baseball game first to last pitch in probably 15 years.
