Go riders, Matt Davis is a very under rated player, and doesn't get the credit he deserves!

Under rated by who? You? He is certainly not under rated by his peers and coaches or most everyone on here. Matt is one of those guys we need on the field. One of his greatest values is his versatility. He can do many things very well. I am excited to see a game with he and Mason in the backfield. Their "point of impact" quality is fun to watch.....and hear! Madison has that big stud #33 , should make for some nice collisions.

I think he meant just that.....a guy who is very valuable, but doesnt get near the credit he deserves. I like those "fly under the radar" guys.

I just meant that the conversation always involves mason, max Tre, turner, and even drew. Unless we are talking specifically about the run game his name hardly comes up. And besides the guys on here ( you, BRF, RR1, riders1, GoRiders, and myself) know how valuable he is, but to a lot of other people don't really recognize him like they do those other players.

If I'm the opposing coach, I want to know where Davis is at on the field.

I still disagree on both points that he is under rated and not given credit for his value. Now I would agree that he is underused on the offensive side of the ball and if that is the undertone of the whole thought process...then yeah I agree. Semantics I guess.

I'm talking about outside credit, I know he gets it from the coaches, players, and us. But from the general public, he doesn't get the credit he deserves.

What are the Rams like this year on offense? Do they still run the option, or with the new coach is their a new offense?

I would have to agree Matt Davis does not get the credit he deserves (from people outside of the team)

Madison always seems to play us tough, no matter what their record shows. We have to come out and play like we are capable from the opening kickoff.

Thank goodness...Madison is back to the Ram horns on their helmet. That silly Old English "R" looked terrible.

West Holmes also got rid of the red stripe on their helmet for this year.

It seems every week a different offensive set? They still have that big Thompson kid #33 as a RB/LB. Cf game was a disaster. CF scored and Madison fumbled the kickoff...CF scored again, On next kickoff they did not fumble but they did fumble on the very next play...CF scored again. On next offensive series they threw a pick on the 2nd play I think..CF scored again. Game was over in the first 5 minutes. Hard to get a read on them. they do always play us tough at their place...I am glad we have them at home. Kind of like WH...we don't have any turnovers and we win.

Would be nice to see Mason and Matt get about 150 yards each rushing and Lichti throw for 200...we need a confidence booster on offense.

That might light a bigger fire under Tre if that were to happen.

I'm hearing he's not pleased about having to sit out....not taking it as a slight or pouting about it...just wants to be in there. I'm so hoping he uses this as motivation.

Hope the coaches put Jordan McCune's statistics in his locker all week as motivation.

^I like the decision. I would have liked it last year as well. You cannot have an effective RB who when he is limping on an ankle after every tackle. When Tre is healthy he can be a difference maker. We are going to need that. It is a gutsy call for the staff but is a testament to the team. Most teams who would have these two guys out would be sweating bullets.

I too like the decision, and I actually stated they needed to rest this week, before it came out that they were going to sit out. I guess I can be right at times, although some don't like it :)

5k, you're absolutely correct! Tre is a great football player. I hope he sees this as a motivator to get healthy, and get to work (and take care of business)the last few weeks of the regular season and playoffs.

Most coaches would play their best players when they are dinged up so they can win, we just sub the next guy in and say get it done.....and they do! RTR

I just hope we don't rob Peter to pay Paul. Running tailback and playing MLB is a lot on anyone's plate. Let's hope we don't ding up another in the process.

If we play like we are capable from the opening kickoff, we can get all starters some rest towards the end of the game. But I agree, we can't afford any injuries at this point to anyone!

8 weeks in a row now of perfect weather. Nice and crisp tonight. Go Riders, let's get this done w/o any penalties or turnovers tonight!
