I don't recall anyone claiming he's a top 5 QB recently, but many people have said there's no reason to look to the future - IMO this should have happened last year. Palmer is getting older and it is obvious he's no where near the QB he was before his injury. It is one thing to be loyal, but Palmer is actually HURTING the team right now - the pick 6 was just a poor decision and worse throw, he just doesn't have the strength to make those throws now.
At the very least, the Bengals should be looking hard at potential QB draftees.
